The Perdido Sun is located on the most beautiful stretch of beach that the Gulf of Mexico has to offer. The resort is on the east side of Perdido Key, not far from Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama. As a guest you may enjoy the beachfront pool during the summer, heated indoor pool during the cooler months, and the hot tub all year long. If the pools are not for you, then at all times you are just a few footsteps along the private boardwalk from the sugar-white sands and emerald-green waters. All of the available condos are privately owned, uniquely decorated and fully furnished. The resort also is one of the very few which staffs an on site office 9am to 6pm seven days a week.

  The Code to the Door Did not work.. I had to call an Owner and get a code to get in. the Door to the patio was almost impossible to open. Love the King size Bed !

• Overall good week.
  We were pleased with Perdido Sun management and their service--all the folks were helpful and nice. The lobby is lovely. The home was in good condition and very nicely decorated. The couch is on its last legs (it was saggy and there were bars sneaking out from underneath) so we didn't pull it out, but our daughter slept fine on top with nice bedding. The balcony door needed service when we got there. The king bed was very comfortable, and the bedroom and master bath had lots of closet and drawer space. We were surprised just how on-top-of the covered pool the balcony was, but it did not interfere with the view of the beach. The tall balcony furniture made it easy to gaze out at the sea and sunset. The pools and hot tub were in great shape and freshly painted. The hot tub was hot, and the indoor pool warm. Two boardwalks allowed for easy beach access. The work-out room was adequate. This was our third time staying on this strip--we love the location of Perdido Key; it is close to Pensacola airport/Walmart and Foley (Tanger Outlet), and quieter than Orange Beach. There are a few good restaurants and two supermarkets closeby, including sushi at Publix, so we don't have to go far. It was listed as a luxury condo, but we didn't feel that it was; much of the decor was superb, but we felt that a luxury condo shouldn't have things in disrepair (towel rack, leg of recliner, poor run-off from balcony, chipped paint on rails, the couch). What we really didn't like was that Vrbo listed the unit as having a washer and dryer--and it didn't. What we liked best this time of year was the hot tub and covered pool.

• Perdido Sun Resort 614 Review
  Perdido Sun Resort was a fantastic facility. The staff was very polite and professional from phone calls to visits at the front desk. The facility itself was immaculate. The family highly enjoyed the heated indoor pool and hot tub. It is conveniently located across the street from the Sports Bar (Best burger and wings on the island!), the Jellyfish bar (Great sushi!) and down the street from a host of great reseraunts and bars like the Flora-Bama, Crab Trap and others. The beaches are very clean and beautiful. The entire experience was a small town feel on a beach island.

• Best time, celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary at The Perdi
  This is the 3rd time we stayed at the Sun (2 winters & 1 fall)and have been bragging about the great service of the staff and facilities & friendliness of the guests. The staff goes beyond the norm to make you feel at home. The facilities are immaculately kept. The guests make you feel like one of the family right away. We love the indoor pool, especially the cleanliness of the pool area,the temperature of the water. In the winter I love the water aerobics organized by the winter guests. In the fall we enjoyed sitting around the outdoor pool visiting with condo guests. Some may say the condo is too far from "events" but this is what we like about the location. We are close enough to take advantage of an event if we like but we arent dealing with the noise & traffic all of the time. If we had a complaint, it would be the layout of a 1 bedroom 1 1/2 bath doesnt allow for private laundry; but we have never had to wait to take advantage of the coin laundry on 1st floor which is also well maintained.

• This unit is in need of renovation.
  The cabinets were broken. The mattress was very uncomfortable. My reservation had not been included on the check in list for the day. It was a holiday, therefore, took long time to clear up. I did not get the condo i booked because someone else was in it!!! I have been coming to this facility for years. It must be time to try someother place.

• Very nice and relaxing!
  The size was just right for us. But we thought it was a little out dated. The area rugs in the living area and in front of the vanity in the master bath were very much showing deep down dirt. It was clean otherwise and we would come back again after a few repairs like the linen closet in the master bath, it had no door were fixed and holes in walls in different places throughout. We loved the open living area and the beautiful sunset view we had outside on the balcony we had every night. We had a great time together and will keep this place in mind on our return trip. • Beautiful location,
  The location of the condo and the balcony was great.The room had a bad smell in the first night when we arrived.The some bed linens need replacement .Toilet paper holder,towel holder,soap holder field down. The curtain was flawed. Usually the kitchen furniture were outdated.The Perdido Resort Management, Particularly Mr. John Hallam was very helpful and easy to get along with, great. • October has to be the best time of the year.
  The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever experience. The view from the balcony is good although indoor pool blocks the view to the right and a wall is on the left. However, the balcony is a cove type that is well shaded. The internet was not working when I arrived. I made a couple of calls and had to leave voice messages. After two days of no answer I emailed the problem to the customer support. The problem was fix quickly after the email. We attended the Shrimp Fest which had more food than I could imagine. The crab cakes and fried shrimp were awesome.

• beautiful condo with a beautiful view
  The condo itself was wonderful and offered us everything that we needed to have a fantastic vacation. However, the young ladies at the front desk should be required to be friendly. No smiles, no "have a nice day", no greetings at all. They were too busy with their cell phones and talking to young guys. Very unprofessional and immature young females. That type of behavior takes away from the overall atmosphere that the condo tries to project.

• We had a great time, however the rates were incorrect.
  We had an annual Dismukes cousin reunion. The rates were different for each unit and we would have rented 3 more condos if the rates were correct. We look forward to our next opportunity to visit again in March. Great ammenities and beach!

• Our experience at Perdido Sun was outstanding.

• relaxing, enjoyable time
  The checkin experience was easy and hassle free. The room was well equipped. The view from the private balcony was great. I have to say that there was plenty to do in the area even when the temperatures dipped into the lower 50s. The indoor pool was a nice treat during that chilly evening. Also the owners had several brochures about local attractions and dining venues,so even when we could not go to the beach we were out sight-seeing in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next October to enjoy the Florida sunshine.

• Great location, value and views.
  Unit 902 is comfortable, clean, and has Great balcony views. The resort location is close to shopping and eating. This is my 5th time staying at Perdido Sun and we will definitely return again. The beach was beautiful and the water was very clear. Every stay here has been very good.

• Restore Yourself
  Our time at Perdido Sun 1006 was a week of self-restoration. The rental process went smoothly and without a hitch. The condo is nicely appointed and quite comfortable. It was our second year renting it and we hope to come back. The beach was uncrowded, the waves soothing, the weather beautiful and our time passed all too quickly. We can't wait until next year to return.

  Enjoyed the stay very much. The unit was clean and well decorated. The facilities were well maintained and everything was in working order. The staff was curteous and helpful.We would definiely stay again. The only negative was the location of this 3 bedroom to the main road. Truck and motorcycle noise woke us up several times each night. Would like to find a 3 bedroom on the other end of Perdido Sun.

• Relaxing in Comfort
  We really enjoyed the condo and the beach was beautiful and not at all crowded. The only complaint we had about the entire stay was that Perdido Key is a little farther away from some of the nicer restaurants in Gulf Shores. Other than that, we had a wonderful time. This is a good time of year to be at the beach. Perfect weather, not at all crowded! We shopped, we rested, we enjoyed!

• Great beach vacation
  Overall this was a very nice condo. 2nd floor and right on the beach. The unit was clean and suitably decorated. It had all the amenities needed for our 5 night stay. We love the balcony overlooking the ocean, but it had a partially obstructed view due to the location of the indoor pool structure. The bed was extremely comfortable :) A great place to stay on Perdido Key.

• Long Weekend Getaway
  Comfortable; adequately equipped; easy to find; convenient to a few restaurants, grocery stores and drug stores; Great beach; loved indoor/outdoor pool options. Good views, loved our balcony. • awesome except for one jellyfish day
  We really loved our unit 1008. The only problem we encounter was on our last night the balcony door to bedroom kept opening all night. We informed the management on our leaving and hopefully this will be fixed.

• Comfortable
  306 was comfortable although smaller than I have been used to staying in. I enjoyed the view greatly. I have to agree with another traveler who I read before renting this room: the bed and the dining table and chairs make the accomodations smaller. they are fairly large for such a small area. Just getting around the table and four chairs you had to turn side ways. In the bedroom just getting over to the front corner to open up a childs suitcase meant a little manurvering. I believe if these two were replace with an appropriate room size selections it would appear and be much bigger. But everything was very nice. Enjoyed.

• great beach, great location, great room=great vacation
  room was clean,nicely decorated. have been cruising for vacations the past few years and apparently overlooked that the nicest beaches in the world are right in our back yard. always saw maintenance staff taking care of the awesome pools. this will be a yearly vacation. pensacola airport was a dream versus o hare. you should market this area more to chicago residents. i highly recommend this specific room.

• Perfect vacation!
  The view was great, the weather was perfect, the beach was peaceful. Perdido Sun unit 902 was the best place to see a graet sunset and not have the morning sun shining on the balcony. This is a very peaceful place to stay, the condo was nice. It really needs some curtains in the bedroom so it's not lit up like noon but other than that it was great. We will definitely stay there again. We came in very late but the management made it so easy to get our key and check in the next morning. It is close enough to Pensacola Beach and Orange Beach that if you want a day of beach excitement, restaurants, shopping, etc you can do that and come back to the quietness of Perdido Key.

• perfect weather, location, beach,fun, food, and relaxation
  We had a wonderful time in the condo. It had everything we needed. It was clean and the location was perfect for ease of getting to the pool or beach. Check in and out were very simple as was making the original reservations. We extended our stay an extra day. Impressed with the management instantly answering my email regarding our extended stay...even with a little humor! The local restaurants were close by and very good.The local people were very friendly and helpful. The couple that runs the umbrella/chair rentals were very nice and helpful. The weather was perfect and you just can't beat that white sugary sand and the gorgeous sunsets.

• Good times despite bad weather
  only low stars on cleanliness, one bed had dirty sheets but service was prompt with in thirty minutes had new sheets and clean bed. The weather did get dicey but that place is built like fort knox so we didn't get too worried. Pool was great since red flags were out all weekend. indoor and outdoor pools great! Plenty of room and clean towels & nice facilities. work out room is good as well. Front desk girls were great helping pack to leave during tremendous wind. thanks.

• Amazing View!
  This condo has the most amazing view from the balcony- I am so glad the rental company recommened it! The condo was very comfortable and had everthing we needed; the bed was super comfortable. The only negatives were the master bath was a bit small and the front desk staff was less than personable. Overall it was a great experience.

• Nice but not "wow."
  Perdido Sun is a nice but nothing spectacular condo. Our condo could have used a paint job, clean carpet, clean chair fabric, light bulbs that were not burned out and a wrought iron balcony that did not obstruct the view of the beach as did out stucco wall balcony. Remote location of the condo was conducive to relaxation but its location was too far for us to sightsee.

  I appreciate your feedback, however it puzzled me that this reservation was made online and this condo specifically requested. The condo is in good condition as appears online. The only thing which needs updating is one of the pictures as a new picture on one of the walls was added (the condo has been booked solid, so we haven't had a chance to snap a new picture). The balcony furniture is made out of PVC to withstand the elements better than metal furniture and it's bar-stool height so that our guests may see over the balcony comfortably. Also, heavy iron furniture is tough for some of our guests to move and the homeowner said that they worried about a chair falling over and hurting a child. The housekeeping replaces light bulbs as needed, but if one goes out while you're staying in the condo we have extras above the refrigerator and available a the front desk. The condo was repainted just before the summer began and the living room furniture is new as of this year as well. I checked the carpet and there is one small spot which I had not noticed before. We'll be sure to get that one up asap. The private balcony view is not obstructed. In a high-rise there are multiple condos on each floor and, unless there is one long community balcony, a wall is necessary on at least one side to be private. This particular condo has a corner balcony so there's only a wall on one side. I am glad that you enjoyed the seclusion of Perdido Key. If you find yourself in the area again be sure to check out the Naval Aviation Museum, Johnson Beach Nation Seashore, the lookout tower at Big Lagoon State Park, Sunset Grille on a clear evening to watch the horizon fade from blue to deep orange and yellows, the FloraBama bar on the state line for some unique nightlife just 5 miles up the road, a dolphin boat ride of the back bays, jet ski or para-sailing within walking distance form the condo, Orange Beach and all of it's neat places like the Wharf where big names like Kenny Chesney, Sugarland, Earth Wind and Fire, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Montgomery Gentry, Pat Green and many others. • Very Disappointed
  This was our third time to stay there and my husbands 10th. The kitchen was scarcely equipped, the sofa bed (website stated comfortable) was so uncomfortable our children ended up sleeping on the floor. We contacted the management after a couple of days and they brought us some pots and a foam mattress pad.The bedroom matress was fine as long as you both slept in the middle. These things should be checked periodically, so that the renters are not getting ripped off. You make reservations, bring your family and your stuck to stay there. The front desk personel could use some lessons on being friendly and helpful.We stayed 7 days and they never spoke to us as we passed at least 10 times a day. We all were very disappointed.

The sleeper sofa is not in bad condition, but is in fact a sleeper sofa which has a sleeper sofa mattress. Along with the new pots and pans we brought a mattress topper as requested. All of this was in addition to a discount being applied for the scratched pan. We work very hard to keep all of the condos in good condition and keep our guests happy. We happily will do what it takes to make certain our guests have a pleasant vacationing experience. Every request by this guests was met within 24 hours and we were reassured that everything was up to par by their standards. The front desk staff is not us, but rather the property management. • unsatisfied
  This condo was not at all what we expected. There was mold around the tubs and shower and dust throughtout the condo. The bed spread in the master bedroom was dirty as well as the carpet. The bunkbeds had fabric hanging from the top bunk. There was no washcloths anywhere in the unit. We had to borrow some from the wash room at Perdido Sun before buying our own at Walmart. It was very clear that the unit had not been prepared for our arrival, as no towels or hand towels were set out. One bathroom didnt have a trash can. There were plenty of glasses and plates, but the cooking pots were old and worn out. The TVs in two of the bedrooms were small and the remotes did not work. The channels were limited in one of the master bedrooms. Overall not at all what we expected considering what we paid for the weeks rent.

  Thank you for the feedback concerning the condo. The condo was not yet prepared as the arrival was well before our 4pm check-in time. During the summer the housekeeping need the full 6 hours between our 10am check-out and 4pm check-in times to have the condos ready for the next reservation. Guests who arrive early are given the option to check-into the condo early and accept it in current condition or wait until the housekeeping has finished the departure clean from the previous guests. We do this as cleaning around guests in the condo who arrive early will put them behind for the rest of the cleans for that day. This would likely cause the other condos to not be ready for the 4pm check-in time. The housekeepers tried to tackle sanitizing the surfaces as best they were able with the time available between 10am departure and your arrival. Concerning the showers; in the humid environment along the coast over the course of the week prior to your arrival the tubs and showers will accumulate a little mildew, however this is why the housekeeping supervisor (only the supervisor) will spritz a bleach mixture in the bathrooms at the end of the cleaning service. The bathrooms were sanitized, but the bleach spritzing was not done at the end due to the limited time to clean the condo as a result of the early arrival. Washcloths are the item we find ourselves replacing most. If you are in need of more while staying in one of our properties, please let us know and we will promptly bring some to your condo. The housekeeping is typically able to relay this stuff to the office, but that is provided the check-in is a standard one. The towels not being set out were also a result of the early arrival as the task of tackling the linens is what takes the longest when cleaning the condo, especially in a 3 bedroom condo. I checked the condo and all three bathrooms have trashcans. The two master bathrooms both have the lavatory separate from the tubs and showers. In each of these the wastebasket is in the bathing areas. I appreciate the feedback concerning the cookware and bedroom televisions. The east bedrooms do have smaller televisions as the larger was placed in the north master bedroom. The remotes are universal remotes and it is likely that someone accidentally changed the settings. I will be sure reprogram them. The channels should all be the same on each of the television sets unless a guests has played with the connections, possibly when setting up a PlayStation or something of the like. I'll check this too. It is regrettable that the experience was not what you hoped for, I think the weather was less than fantastic while your group was with us which puts a damper on most folks' trip to the beach. • Awesome beach location and views
  The location is awesome, right on the beach. You can enjoy the sunset from the king room. The room ammenities were everything we needed. It is as if you are in your own home, so don't expect much service. If you go through a property company or realator you will have to contact them for any issue. The facility is well taken care of. Great pool (indoor and out) as well as the beach front of the gulf. Every morning we could see dolphins moving up the coast from our balcony, hear the waves and enjoy a leasurely morning. The beach front is well taken care of. If you are willing to spend $20 a day for beach chair and umbrella...you just need your towel and cold beverage to enjoy the beach. Come and go as you please. We are thinking about going again maybe a little later in the fall as august was warm and humid but certainly okay.

• Relaxing Visit
  Condo 706 was perfect and the discription and pictures very accurate. The condo was very neat and had everything we needed! I would return again for sure. Good for a couple and maybe small family. • Another wonderful trip.
  We have stayed at Perdido Sun several times but this is the first time we stayed in 712. It was clean, comfortable and everything worked fine. It's bright and airy which promotes a great vacation experience. The hotel is situated so every room has the same great view of the gulf. This unit happens to be on the west end of the building farthest away from the elevators. That's a plus but Perdido Sun is fairly quiet and laid back anyway. It's not the newest kid on the block but both the building and grounds are well maintained. Our family likes Perdido Key because it's a little off the beaten path. There's still plenty to do but it's not as crowded as some of the bigger name resort areas. We have booked our last two trips through JD at Perdido Key Resort Management. Jd is helpful and I would highly recommend booking through him. We will definitly be back.

• Relaxing
  First time visiting Perdido Key. Beach is very beautiful and Perdido Sun is in great location of Perdido Key. Not too crowded. A little disappointed in Unit 614. Could use more gadgets in the kitchen. i.e. pitcher, steak knives, mixing bowls, storage containers, etc... T.V. in living room is outdated. Picture is very snowy.

• Beautiful water and beach and no rain
  We have been going to Perdido Sun for the last ten or twelve years and really enjoy the indoor poor and being right on the beach. The accomodations this year were excellent. Well equiped unit, Kids room had furniture and all Tv's were new. Kitchen well stocked. Perdido staff are always friendly and helpful. Very clean and nice.

• Disappointed in the accomadations
  We carried our 2 granddaughters with us to Perdido Key Sun. We understood there were bunkbeds for the girls in the room and also a washer and dryer available in the room. The pull out sofa was very very uncomfortable. It had broken springs. The mattress pad was dirty. The washer and dryer that was available for us was in the basement and we had to put money in them to use them. The view was great. The balcony was great. There was nothing wrong with our kitchen.

• Nice Get-a-way !!
  This is the 2nd time we stay at Perdido Sun and absolutely love this place. The two pools and hot tub are great and it's such a short walk to the beach. The King bed is a plus, and very comfortable, felt like home. I will definitely come back. It's close enough to The Hangout in Gulf Shores, the outlet in Foley, and all of our favorite gift shops and restaurants. The kids enjoyed the beach and pools in the daytime and at night. We all had a great time. The days we had rain, we shopped in Foley for back to school things. Overall, great place, great location.

• Disappointed
  I am not one who complains alot. If I go some place, wheter it be a restaurant hotel, etc.If I do not like it, I simply don not return. In this case, everything was not good and it was overpriced for what it is. I have no doubt the other units are better. They would have to be!

• Life's a Beach...
  There were many, many of us staying in thie condo w/ teenagers ranging from 14 to 19 yrs of age... it rained everyday but one. It was absolutely awesome!!! We had plenty of room for everyone and the view from the balcony was beautiful. My husband is handicapped (ALS) so getting in and out of the shower was a little tricky - but we managed. The only thing I would have changed is the view from the master...(other then the lip getting into the shower) the traffic was a little noisy from the street outside the window (we were on the third floor)having that view (west)however did allow for some awesome - colorful sunsets... Thank you.

• You can't get any closer to the gulf!
  I stayed 3 nights while visiting my son who is in the Navy. He is at Corry Station and it was about 10 miles away. He stayed 2 nights. We had the most wonderful, relaxing time at Perdido Key. Staying at Perdido Sun was the best decision I made. Although the building seems to be older than some of its neighbors it is well maintained. The layout of the condo was perfect for us. I gave my son the bedroom/bathroom because he deserved a special weekend, and I slept on the fold out couch. It was very uncomfortable but the second night I took the mattress off the frame and put it on the floor and I slept perfect. The condo was super quiet, couldn't hear our neighbors at all. The view was abolutely perfect. We loved that beach so much. We bought some cheap floating mats and had a great time in the super warm water. The only thing that would have made it better was that if there had been a couple of fold up beach chairs and some beach towels. The front office women were the best. Super friendly and gave us some great recommendations for fun and food. Don't miss eating at the Fishermans Corner. All in all in was a perfect, memorable vacation for us.

  The service was great, the front desk workers were wonderful. The condo was nice, I liked the location. The sofa bed was the worst! The mattress was totally wore out and hung through the bottom. We had to buy an air mattress for the kids to sleep on. I liked the security there, the code was great, I felt like not just anyone could come in and out. I do wish there were washer and dryers in the room.

  Seven family members went on this trip. I was disapointed that my sisters room was much nnicer than mine even though it was the same price. There was a view of the beach from the second bedroom in her room as well as much more comfortable furniture, and better appliances. Also 2 of our doors were broken causing us to be locked out of our room once. The door that goes from the balcony to master bedroom was completely rusted off its hinges and wouldnt close properly causing hot air in the bedroom constantly. The blinds were broken in the master bedroom as well blocking the view of the beach.

• Paradise
  My dad has been dreaming of returning to Florida for a family vacation for years now. He's a picky guy and wanted a condo, beachfront, ocean view balcony, and all the comforts of home. We were having difficulties finding exactly what we wanted at Pensacola Beach and drove to Perdido the next morning. I had found this online and the agent was very quick at getting us processed and in the very same day! It was amazing and something weary travelers who had drove for a day and a half needed! Everyone was very accomodating and friendly here. We only had an issue with the ice maker leaking but they had someone come fix it asap. Not a problem with that at all! The place was one of the cleanliest and nicest we have stayed at. Loved being able to walk down, rent some chairs, head up when we needed to, and also enjoy the pools/spa anytime we felt like it. The location and this beach is one of the most relaxed I've seen. The resort was almost as beautiful as the gorgeous beach that it sits on... almost. =] They were both everything we wanted for this vacation. We definitely loved it there and will be returning one day!

• Worth it for the location and the pools.
  The building is kept in good shape. The pools are always clean and the indoor pool is kept at a nice temperature. Located on the beach so that is nice. View is not bad. As for the condo itself, furniture is pretty old and not that comfortable. The sleeper sofa is horrible! Good thing we took an air mattress for our son to sleep on. The cafe table on the balcony was broken and not usable. The television worked but the remote needed new batteries. All the kitchen things worked and the air conditioner worked. The carpet strips in the hallway and the kitchen slid around so we rolled them up and shoved them in a closet for the time we were there to avoid accidents. Overall it was very serviceable. Don't think I could I have stayed longer than a week but then I didn't rent this expecting a home away from home. If you plan to spend most of your time out and about or on the beach or in the pools, then this is place will do as well as any other.

• Relaxing family vacation.
  Nice place... we will concider coming back for sure. The only thing that would have made it better is if management would add an activities director. That's probably more of a true "resort" thing versus a condo set up but having some scheduled activities for kids in morning time (i.e. crafts or beach games) and adults in the evening (i.e. bar in the pool area would be great).

• Pleasant atmosphere at property and neat and clean condo!!
  This was one of the best vacation spots we have had in awhile. We often stay in Orange beach or Gulf Shores but we were having a family reunion with family from Pensacola so we stayed closer to them. Our condo was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. The property and the people at the front desk where always so kind. We were so happy staying and it felt like home we extended our stay and then did not want to leave when we had to. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Perdido Sun and in condo 202 in particular. Thank you for a wonderful vacation spot.

• Lovely unit overlooking the Gulf

• Relaxation at Its Best!
  Our recent stay at Perdido Sun 1108 was the most relaxing vacation my family has ever enjoyed. The condo was clean and perfectly decorated and supplied with every amenity needed to make our vacation on the Perdido beaches perfect. • Wide range of experiences
  Let me start with the worst part. The tub was so warn that the ceramic was missing and you were standing on rusty metal. I actually thought about my last tetanus shot. The shower head could not be moved and shot horizontally to the back of the shower making a nice shower after the beach impossible. On top of that half the water sprayed toward the wall behind the shower head because it was broken. Just fabulous. The 1st thing I saw when I opened the door was 2 dead bugs... The curtains in the bedroom were falling off the rod and the view...the pictures are taken from a good angle. If you look out straight or to the left, there is a big ugly greenhouse type building with the indoor pool in it completely blocking the panaoramic view. I would suggest 406 or higher because it is a nice set up but get up above the pool house and definitely get another tub! The front desk is merely people who hand out keys. This is not a hotel and they really are ot informed at all. I lost one of the 2 keys ( my fault admittedly) but the person at the front desk didn't know if they had another and actually said to me and I quote "I just work here." I think you get the picture. It is close to the beach but not walking distance to even a convenient store never mind restautant.

  Hi Lisa, I am concerned that your stay was not up to par. I will have the tub, shower head and curtains checked immediately. The condo had another guest depart the morning of the day in which you checked in, so finding bugs on the floor seems a bit unlikely as the housekeeping would not have been completed until mere hours prior to your arrival at best. Also, there was a guest who arrived the day after you checked out and no one has reported any bugs in this condo while staying. I would hope that anyone who finds bugs would report it immediately. Nonetheless, I will investigate this further to ensure that this is not the case for any of our guests. The indoor pool is a glass building which is on the east side of the resort. The pictures online of this condo show the view of the beach from the balcony. It is a wonderful view as many of our guests prefer a lower floor. You are correct in that the front desk is available to issue keys onsite to allow for an onsite check-in and as per the confirmation email and receipt, any remaining balance for your reservation is simply charged to the credit card on file the day of arrival. This allows for a more convenient check-in which doe snot require you to come to our off-site office prior to arriving at the condo. If preferred, you are welcome to come by our office although most choose to take advantage of the convenience of an onsite check-in. You are also correct in that this is not a hotel. We do not advertise the resort in that fashion as the condos are all privately owned by individuals much like each of the guests who come to vacation with us each year. All of the condos are different inside and each appeals to different vacationers. It likely that who had spoken with one of the maintenance personnel rather than the folks who work at the front desk. Previous reviews indicate how helpful the front desk staff is for our guests and you are always welcome to touch base with our rental office as we will work to help in any way possible. Again, it is regrettable that your stay was less than you had hoped for. I do appreciate the feedback and I'll make sure anything in need of attention is promptly addressed. • 3rd year w/ Pkrm - Perdido Sun
  Had a great time. This condo is huge, bigger than most you will find in the area. The building and grounds are not overwhelming, like some of the area complexes, but still boasts 2 pools and a hot tub. The indoor one is heated, which is great for kids and night swims. The large common area is a must for a group. We had 4 adults and 4 young children and it never felt cramped. A fully appointed kitchen made this a very economical vacation, as we never had to eat out, which is also good for traveling with picky eaters. We have stayed at another place, (trying to save a few dollars) and it ended badly. The money we tried to save at that place was spent on eating out. Also Pkrm are the nicest people, so helpful when you need them, but not in your face when you don't. The other place we stayed, the management were jerks and thus... we are willing to spend a few extra dollars to guarantee a great stay. We would recommend them to anyone, just promise to save us a week or two each year :)

• Yearly Vacation
  This was one of the best vacations we've ever had. The condo was nice and clean with a good view of the ocean. We had a problem with the refrigerator, but the management took care of it asap, and provided a cooler for us since we had just been to the grocery store. Great location, and very relaxing. If you want to be in the middle of the party zone, this is not the place to be. If you want a nice peaceful place, this is! It's only 4-5 miles either way of anything you want or need. Awesome!

The condo had been cleaned very well, the bed linens were in good condition and I could not find any smell. My only thought is that if you had the balcony doors open throughout your stay, perhaps the salt air was what your were referring to in your review. I like the smell of the beach, sand and waves however if you're not accustomed to it I suppose it could have been what you were referring to. I will go back in a couple days to check once more. The carpet is a tighter woven fabric as the thick plushy carpet tends to hold sand thereby more difficult to keep presentable. • Best Location ever!!
  The room was a perfect location for us! Great view from the deck, close to pools, hot tub and beach. Bar across the street, short drive to the Naval Base, great restaurants Room was just right for my wife and I, very usable kitchen. Bed was very comfortable - couch too! Minor squawks would be beat up balcony furniture near unusable, and the bedroom windows would not open for ventilation. Front desk and beach personnel were very helpful and gave excellent recommendations. Only suggested improvements I would make are; a hammock on the balcony and a stereo in the living room - and replace the wine tasting event across the street with a margarita festival!! (what were they thinking?) Looking forward to the next visit!

• Just Right
  This was our third or fourth stay at Perdido Sun and as usual it was just what we needed -- a relaxing, no hassle respite. Due to an extremely tight window between making reservations and arrival the unit wasn't ready but the staff was superb and got the condo cleaned and ready in next to no time. They also brought my perishable items in and load them into the fridge after it was cleaned, now that's going the extra mile!

• Awesome Ocean Views
  We were very pleased with this condo which was very clean and nicely decorated. The ocean views from the balcony are incredible and the beach is steps away. We enjoyed this condo so much that we have already booked it for next year. We would also like to mention that we received excellent advice and service from JD at Perdido Key Management and from Clancy when we thought we needed to book a few more days at the Condo. We cannot wait to return.

• Very relaxing -- exactly what we expected
  My husband and I came down to relax from our hectic work schedules and did exactly that. The condo was just as depicted in the ad at a reasonable price -- and beautifully decorated. The view of the beach from the balcony was great and we loved the hot tub. The beach was clean and we there was so much to do -- parasaling, boating, fishing -- or nothing at all. This is a great place for couples and families. We hope to bring back more family members in the future.

• Nice getaway for spring break.
  Perdido Sun Resort is a very nice resort. Quiet, clean, great pools, and helpful staff. Person we rented from was very accomodating. Rental 302 is nice, needs some upgrades. Patio furniture, blinds in master bedroom and maybe new hot water heater.Some renovation was going on next door, so sometimes loud. Overall, nice place to stay. Would come back, maybe not this particular unit unless things fixed.

• Loved every moment!

  we had a terrific winter stay at the Perdido Sun; excellent location: love being on the Gulf and away from the crowds & traffic; the property mgmt, JD & Clancy were always friendly & very willing to assist us with any questions or concerns...both condo owners & visitors were very friendly, the social activities offered lots of opportunities to make new friends; the front desk staff, Paula, Scott & Mac were very friendly & helpful; the maintenance & housekeeping staff were very responsive & concerned that our needs were met; the building offers a very friendly, clean, attractive lobby, beautiful pool area and my favorite: the water aerobics offered in the indoor heated pool M,W,F; the condo itself was very comfortable; after some rearranging we made it our "winter home"; we loved the extra window in living room, private patio, great view, the wifi, the cable tv; kitchen could use a brushing up; tv in living room is too large for the room; bed was very comfortable but too large for the size of the bedroom; we had a great time and look forward to our stay in 2012...

• Great time overall.
  This was our 4th stay at Perdido Sun and overall we enjoyed it every bit as much as previous stays with one small exception, we had to do some light cleaning when we first got there. Certain it is a one time oversight, we will be back and we continue to speak well of the condos.

• Beautiful condo and beach!
  Check-in was quick and easy. Carts were provided for all our many bags. The condo was right off the elevator and very convenient. The condo was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Wonderful views from the bedrooms and balcony. The pools and hottub were perfect. The beach was clean and wonderful! We will be back!

• Relaxing
  Very nice Condo with everything you need to enjoy the stay. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The bed was a little uncomfortable and maybe could use a few updates but the rest was great. The pools, spa, etc were great and the beaches were awesome. we seen dolphins each day and we enjoyed our relaxing stay at the resort. We would definately come back again.

• Great Winter respite
  My second year at Perdido Sun, and I love the location, residents, and staff. The perfect winter get-away for folks from the cold north. Great condo with all the amenities. I walked beach each day, used indoor pool alot, and played lots of golf. Area is not too congested like most of winter-time Florida. Easy convenient shopping and restaurants. Great staff and very helpful. Lots to do at the Sun each day.

The shower heads are an easy fix, however the problem we run into is that our guests and property owners have different preferences for what type they prefer. The appliances are all in good working condition, however if this changes we will immediately work to have them replaced. I hope that the recent upgrade to a 42" LCD TV in the living room, the wireless internet and fantastic view were still enough to provide for a good vacation experience. • The experience was average.
  The stay went well, however next time I would like to request a downstairs condo due to a physical disability. Also, I did not notice the height of the bed when first looking at #202.I had problems getting on and off the bed.I came prepared to swim, but the pool was not accessible. The steps were to narrow even to atempt to go down. The condo itself was nice and clean, and the beach view was excellent.

The outdoor pool was not closed down, but perhaps just bit too cool to swim in during December. The indoor pool is heated and was open during your stay. The first floor condo have stairs out to the pool deck, so when planning you next vacation I would think that the elevators would be a better solution. • Relaxing and refreshing
  There was only one "little blip" during our stay, we did not get a call back from maintenance about the internet service, but it was Christmas Eve and we worked around it. We are grateful for a beautiful condo and a wonderful stay. The desk attendant was more than warm and welcoming, even on the holiday.

• Relaxing
  My husband and I spent a wonderfully relaxing week at Perdido Sun. Our condo was very comfortable and well maintained. the beach was not as crowded in November but the weather was perfect for enjoying the beach or the indoor pool. There was not a selection of restarants or shopping unless you drive to Orange Beach 0r Gulf Shores

  Thanks for taking the time to leave us some feedback. I am sorry that you did not see and of the places to eat here in Perdido Key while driving around. On the island there are several restaurants. Next time give us a call in the office and we'll direct you to one of the following; The Oyster Bar, The sunset Grille, The Purple Parrot Tiki Bar and Grill, Bella Luna Pizzeria, The Jellyfish, Lost Key Java and Deli, The Sports Bar, Lillian's Italian Food, The Shrimp Basket, Triggers, Hub Stacey on the Pointe, The Original Point Restaurant or one of the chain places like McDonald's, Burger King, Subway or Sonic. All of these are towards the east-side of the island. The west-side has a great deal of other local favorites. For shopping the Shops at Villagio has a couple boutiques and a beach gear/souvenir shop, there is another souvenir shop on the west-end of the island. We make an effort to inspect the condos which have arrivals scheduled in advance to ensure that they are ready for our guests. I am sure that any minor things would have been caught had it been made in advance and in instances such as this we assume that the guests would let us know if it needed any touch up services. • Very good
  Only a couple of unit complaints. Broken closet door. Light switch in bedroom not connected to either bedlight or fan light. High balcony wall not allowing for chaise lounge chair. All the kitchenware, towels, bed furnishings very good. Front desk very friendly and helpful.

• Blue angels Weekend
  Great view, helpful and friendly staff. One light needs/needed replacement in the kitchen. The 1/2 bath toilet needs a new flap assembly. The water was turned off at the wall and it took us a few minutes to figure out the situation. The toilet worked properly after a few flushes and I returned the water supply to "off at the wall" when we left. Great place!

• A nice and relaxing condo with a beautiful view.
  The condo was very clean and well kept. the king size bed was more plush and comfortable than my own king size bed. we enjoyed the wall to ceiling corner window in the master bedroom which looked out over the beach. i watched the dolphins from our balcony and even practiced my yoga as the sun rose over the ocean. there were plenty of linens and quality dishes at our disposal. oh, and the hall bathroom houses the best best shower ever!

• A trip never to be forgotten
  My wife and I were married in Pensacola in Sept 2010 and stayed at Perdido Sun Resort Rm 902. Let me just say that this was the best 5 days of my life. Quiet, relaxed, and up to date accommodations are just the beginning of what you can expect staying here. To start off our stay check in was fantastic. We arrived apprx. 11:30pm and had no problem with the instructions, getting into the facility and to our room. Upon entering the room there was a feeling of being at home even thought we were in fact so far from it. The view was amazing off of the balcony, the condo had everything that was required to have a great stay. We couldn't have asked for anything else to be furnished. Our first morning after cooking breakfast for my wife we enjoyed eating on the balcony and were amazed that we were able to see dolphins and Rays swimming just off the coast. We made this a daily routine. This place is great!!! A quiet vacation spot close enough to Pensacola Beach and far enough away from the hustle bustle of all of the attractions. We will definitely be coming back next year!!! Thank you all for being a great group of people. See ya soon.

• Great location
  We stayed there the last week in October. It was end of the season and the building was almost empty. We were lucky to have a wonderful weather which contributed to a great stay. Staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The condo unit was nicely decorated , met our needs. The sofabed is showing its age, and the bathtub should look cleaner if it is painted. Enjoy the pools and whirlpool, and the nice bikes that came with the rental. I loved the ability to walk to Johnson Beach everyday, and the wonderful sunsets from the balcony. And the art classes at the artworks co-op across the street.

• Relaxing vacation in a long time.
  We have not been to the beach in several years and this stay here was reccommended from a friend who had stayed here and thought we would enjoy it too. We found it to be very nice and quiet. The condo itself was nice and privacy we had for the bedrooms was very nice. The lights in some of the lamps did not work but that was fine for we spend much of our time on the deck. Overall this was a very relaxing and enjoyable place and we will be back.

• very relaxing
  The condo was great. The staff was very helpful and freindly at all times. Unit 1006 was very comfortable and clean. My only complaint was there was no cutting board or cooking spoons in the kitchen, so I had to go buy some in oder to cook. My other complaint was the way the building is positioned on an angle, the noise from the highway below when sitting on the balcony was not pleasant and you can't see the sunrise. But neither of those things would keep me from coming back.

• Perdido Sun 704 is very functional.
  My wife and I (just the two of us) enjoyed our stay at the Perdido Sun. The staff on location was very friendly and helpful. The beach area, outdoor pool and indoor pool were all well kept and we enjoyed all three. The view from the balcony of unit 704 was fabulous!!! The unit itself is very functional and met our needs. But, unit 704 could use a little attention: the towel bar in the master bath was broken and there was some black mold in the tub/shower; many of dishes and glassware in the kitchen cabinets was put away dirty and had to be washed before we used it; and the bedspread although very clean is worn and outdated. One major concern for anyone renting this unit especially with small children is the hot water. The hot water is very, very hot and it someone is not careful they could possibly get scalded. Our overall experience at the Perdido Sun was absolutely great and we plan to go back again but will most like stay in another unit.

• Good accommodations with an excellent beach.
  Clean with very helpful staff. The unit and building however are showing their age. Missing light bulbs in the unit and the outside hallways. Can only open kitchen drawers and doors in a certain sequence. The pool areas were great. Well maintained and clean. Only major complaint regarded when half of a 4 slice toaster arced and sparked. When notifying maintenance was told only to use the working side.

• Great place to stay
  This is our third visit to Perdido Sun. The property has great views, management was accomodating and everything was clean. The beach was in great shape and we saw no evidence of the oil spill problem. It's in a location that doesn't lend itself to the party crowd and is wonderful as a relaxing, family oriented vacation spot. There are plenty of great local resturants and pretty much anything else you would need. The naval museum is great and, if they are in town, you can watch the Blue angels practice without fighting big crowds. I highly recommend Perdido Sun.

• Great Resort
  All was great. Major problem with Perdido Key Chamber of Commerce and their incentive program. I booked early, paid in full early to help the area because of oil spill. Chamber had incentive program for time I stayed. They would not honor incentive because I booked and paid early. Most likely will not return to Perdido Key because of this. I was insulted by chamber manager.

• Great Location

• Not that clean
  Overall I enjoyed my stay, thanks primarily to the nice weather and the beachfront location of the Perdido Sun. However, there were a few small problems that kind of got things off on the wrong foot. Upon our arrival, we noticed that the dishwasher was full of dishes. There was a sticky note on the front of the d/w indicating that the dishes were clean. I was surpised (#1) to find that I was expected to unload and put away the previous occupant's dishes and (#2) it turned out that the dishes were in fact, not clean - which we fortunately detected shortly after we started putting them away. So we ran the d/w and then put away the clean dishes. Also, with our first use of the stove-top, we found that the cooking surface was quite grimy and custy. This was resolved by applying a little elbow grease, a sponge and soap. Finally, shortly after arriving, I found a dried out, dirty wash cloth lying on the side of the bathtub. Not pleasant. As you can imagine, I am a little disappointed by these findings given that we are paying $80 to have the unit cleaned. On the up-side, someone had left a tub of margarine and a Corona in the fridge. Thank you!

• Great Labor Day Weekend
  This was our second stay at Perdido Sun but our first time for Labor Day weekend. The weather, water and Perdido Sun beach were awesome. We are avid beach bums and really appreciated the view, amount of beach space available, and the fact that the beach is not overcrowded as it often is at other Florida beach locations. Only suggestions would be that more than 2 keys are provided-- 2 adults and 2 teenagers having to share 2 keys is inconvenient. Also, more carts available to guests when checking in and out would improve convenience.

• Excellent Vacation...didn't want to leave!
  I would definitely return to this vacation spot...it had everything you could ask for! Indoor and outdoor pools, beach access like no other, and you could not ask for better ocean views! Very family friendly! When I return, the only thing I would change would be to rent a unit that had a washer/dryer inside - even though there are facilities, it would be nice to have them inside the unit. Wonderful views, excellent staff and I could not have asked for a better vacation. We will definitely be back every year - more often if we can! Thank you all for a wonderful stay!!

• Condo was fabulous, the desk support was awful!!!
  The condo was very nice but the desk personnel were awful and totally unhelpful. When we arrived we asked for three keys. We were told the locks were to be changed that day. There were three of us all going in different directions and needed our own keys. We inquired several times a day and were always told just anytime the locksmith would be there. Never happened! She lied to us!

The previous guest reported a problem with the locks which caused the keys to break, so I made an appointment with a local locksmith to have them changed. In the interim had a temporary lock on the door to ensure that you did not have the same problem. The temporary lock was not the commercial grade which is preferred in our area as a result of the elements, but I put it on anyway to get your through the weekend without and problems. I made the front desk aware of the locksmith's appointment, so as far as they knew it was scheduled to come out on the second day (Friday) of your stay. Unfortunately, the locksmith was unable to come out when originally scheduled so they waited until Monday following your departure to work on the door as to not cause any intrusion upon your stay. The decision to wait was my call as the reservation was booked online with 3 adults and I felt that a small group would be doing things together as opposed to a large reservation consisting of adults and children which typically does things separately. Had I known of the inconvenience this would cause for your small group I would have insisted that the locksmith come out over the weekend. • The Perfect Vacation!
  My girlfriend and I had the best vacation we've had in a long time. Sue Halfhill is an angel and had a wonderful condo to boot! The staff at Perdido Sun were kind and friendly and accommodating (as usual). We were also able to take advantage of the $300 american Express Gift Cards distributed by the Perdido Key Chamber of Commerce (via BP). We made sure to spend it at the local restaurants, which were fabulous. We also enjoyed a great show at The Warf, compliments of a nice restaurant manager at Cobalt's. The weather and water were gorgeous...I could go on and on. Bottom line: We'll be back!

  Condo was very spacious and comfortable. Very short walk to the beach. Nice, clean pool both inside and outside. Right accross the street from a small shopping center in case you need to run and get a few beach things for the kids.!

• Relaxing
  I've stayed at the Perdido Sun several times and while it is not the "fanciest" in the the area, it provides a quiet peaceful atmosphere which is what I most look for. I was a little disappointed in the view of this particular unit. I like to be able to look down the beach for a distance. However it was a good value specially with the Chamber of Commerce amex promotion.

• Beautiful and relexing
  We've visited Perdido Key/Johnson Beach for years while visiting my parents who used to live in Pensacola. This was our first time to stay right on the beach and Perdido Sun was perfect! • Amazing!
  I was down in Perdido Key for 3 weeks working on the oil spill response - I work for us Fish and Wildlife Service and I was down here to make sure the clean-up effort didn't further impact the beautiful beaches. I worked long 12 hours days in the hot sun. However, at the end of each day, I knew I would be going back to the Perdido Sun, which was clean, beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. There was a great pool, view of the ocean, and the staff bent over backwards to help me with anything I needed. The staff was also so incredibly nice - I wanted to give them all hugs! I can't say enough about how wonderful it was to stay in the Sun - I would definitely come back again and stay there.

• The condo needs updating
  The condo needs a few updates and a good clense. There was a lingering smell that was not plesent. The bedroom bathroom needs some repairs. The windows in the bedroom have not been cleaned in a long time and were not working. Other than that, everything else was good.

• Peaceful and amazing!
  First and foremost, Perdido Key is an amazing place to relax on or near some of the best beaches in the world. The Perdido Sun captured my imagination as a child when I could see it rising high only a few hundred yards down the strip from the beach house where I vacationed. Most of the tiny beach houses are gone... and now Perdido Sun stands a little shorter than its neighbors, but what a great place! Modern and clean, our condo offered all the conveniences of home, plus the spectacular view of the gulf of mexico from our mostly private balcony. It's quiet... most of our neighbors were young families and couples. It's convenient... located near great restaurants and only a short drive from the tourist interests of Gulf Shores to the West, and Pensacola to the East. We have stayed in the same room two years in a row, and plan to return every year possible.

• Fun in the sun on the beach.
  Great condo! This is the 5th year we have stayed at Perdido Sun, the 3rd in 316. Everything was awesome as always. We also rented 4 other condos this week. My entire family had a very nice time. Even though I know it was as sad time for many because of the oil, etc, we enjoyed the lack of people. About the only negative thing was that the fire alarm went off. At least it was not in the middle of the night. Next year will be the 25th year my family has vacationed in Florida. Only twice have we had to evacuate because off the fire alarm, both times at Perdido Sun.

  The overall stay was nice. The condo was another story. First of all...the window in the bedroom was broken(had to us a stick to lock it down),shower curtain was molded,tiles on the bedroom floor was loose & disbonded from the floor,had to buy kitchen size garbage can. otherwise the place was nice...view was awesome,location great,people super friendly,perdido sun complex was beautiful...would stay again just not that one unit. • Wonderful vacation
  Perdido Sun had everything we needed in a beach condo except a washer and dryer in the condo. With a young family, it is difficult to keep up with laundry. Thankfully we had brought enough clothes and extra towels to only need to go down to wash twice.

• Great beach vacation, despite the tarballs~!
  Great stay, but low star for cleanliness as two beds were made with obvious used linens (we changed them), the coffeepot still had used grounds (we pitched them), the shower stall in master bathroom had black and red mold along with rusty bobby pins (we left it alone!), and the floor in the bunkbed room was filthy (we vacuumed it). Thought this info might be helpful, as you are paying for cleaning. This is a wonderful condo for families with all needs met. We would return and recommend it to our friends.

• Fun and sun
  The condo was great other than the key was really hard to open the door. We had two different people look at it and it still was extremely hard to open. My hands hurt after opening the door. There are no shopping places close by had to travel at 30 minutes either way to larger suvenior shops. View was excellent, service was great and we had a great time. :)

  This unit was absolutely wonderful. There was not one thing that we ever needed. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything a gourmet cook could ask for.   We had a great time! This condo was very basic. This was perfect for us because we have small children which meant less worry about them breaking something or getting into something they shouldn't. However, the mattress on the bed really needs replacing. It was very uncomfortable. We were also very surprised that this condo had carpet. Overall, we had a great time but we will probably stay in a different condo next time.

• Peaceful & Quiet
  We had a wonderful time staying at this resort. Our condo fell a little short in the cleanliness in that there was trash in the trashcan and used soap left in the half bath. Otherwise the condo was in very nice condition. Also, the sofa is probably in need of being replaced as the middle sinks in quite a bit, making for an uneven sitting experience. There were plenty of towels, trash bags, and a beautifully equipped kitchen. There is a noise, however, in the kitchen wall under the cupboard where the glasses are stored that is either electrical or water related. It should probably be looked at because it was rather loud at times. We had a good trip, were able to relax and would come here again.

  For the past 5 years we normally stay at the Sky, this year we tried the Sun because of the pool. We never set foot in the pool but enjoyed the Hot Tub one time early in the morning. Management was great in all respects, the condo sucked but for the view. Disposal, icemaker, toilet in powder room and shower didn?t work properly. Shower curtain kept falling down. Management used the door molding to correct the problem like a wedge. Owners above were doing construction work (it sounded like) from 9 AM to 1 AM every day we were there. The only sleep we got was on the beach!

  I appreciate you leaving a response, but a one-star review is rather unexpected and unfair to the owner of this condo. I appreciate the kind words concerning our Management staff, but in that regards none of this was ever mentioned while you were here. We work very hard to keep our properties in good condition everything was working properly following a departure cleaning inspection and prior to your check-in. We do often turn the ice maker off (a switch in the freezer on the icemaker itself) when no one is in the condo. The disposal switch is to the right of the sink and perhaps you had trouble locating it. If in the event it did have a problem we would certainly have someone out to correct it immediately. I have since checked it and was unable to note anything wrong with it... The shower is often a hurdle for our guests, because there is a ring which activates it is at the end of the faucet which often goes overlooked. If you come back to stay with us again I will ask that you request o speak to me personally and I will make it a goal of mine to ensure that your stay is second-to-none. • Comfortable Condo at Perdido Sun
  We totally enjoyed our stay at Perdido Sun. It was a last minute reservation that J.D. Howell reserved for us., He was so helpful in getting it accomplished after hours. We were there for the storm that came in on Friday evening and had one sunny day and then watched the storm from our balcony on Friday evening. It was a nicely furnished unit and our grandchildren enjoyed the indoor pool on Saturday afternoon. We will possibly be returning in a few days and if so, will call again about making another reservation. Thanks for the opportunity to give our review. • Very nice condo.
  We chose to stay at the Perdido Sun for our wedding and honeymoon. We were married on the beach outside of the resort and stayed in #202 for a week afterwards. This condo is very modern. We had everything we needed and more!!!! The staff, guests, and owners at the Perdido Sun were more than accommodating for our wedding day by making sure the beach was clear and clean for our ceremony. Our wedding and our vacation in Perdido Key exceeded our expectations and we look forward to coming back in the future. If we happen to need a one bedroom again in the future, we will definitely try to stay in 202. Thank you so much for the great experience.

• Relaxation!
  My sister and I stayed at Perdido Sun for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The entire building was clean and "coach" was out picking up the beach area every morning. He even stopped by several times to see if we needed anything. The price was very reasonable and the location was convenient to restuarants and shopping in either direction. I would recommend Perdido Sun to anyone needing a quick getaway and not wanting to spend a small fortune! Thanks for a great time!

  Not having been to the beach in several years, we didn't really know what to expect. The people at both Perdido Sun and PKRM were wonderful. The view from the one-bedroom condo was tremendous. The condo was tastefully decorated and lacked nothing to make us feel at home. We felt that the bed was only adequate, but we sleep on a Temperpedic at home. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

• A very wonderful vacation of a lifetime
  We were in for a wedding of our daughter. We checked in around 11 at night and found the key and everything where we were told. The view in the room was breath taking, we were able to see dophins a couple of mornings. We had everything we need in the room. The bed was very confortable. The people at the condo were very nice to us. We enjoyed the hotub and the indoor pool. This is one condo we will rent again, the week we stayed was the best time we ever had, would refer this room to anyone who want to have a good time.

• Nice condo!
  GREAT condo at a wonderful complex. I loved the view and the condo itself. Perdido Sun has a wonderful front desk staff (Paula was great at check in). The building is clean and quiet. The condo itself was perfect. I loved the extras Sue added to the condo (large selection of movies and books), plus boogie boards, noodles, games, and other fun things for kids. My only issue was with hot water. I never seemed have enough for my shower. I'm not sure if it's because the water heater is small or needs to be turned up. But, I enjoy a HOT shower, and ran short on the hot water (and I was always the first person showering). Beyond that, loved it! Thanks!

• Perfect spring break
  Our spring break got off to the right start because we didnt have to drive all over the place to pick up the key. We drove right to the Perdido Sun and checked in at the front desk. The bed and sofa bed were comfy and you have plenty of room for 4 adults. There is an internet connection which was a must for me. The kitchen is stocked with all of the appliances and supplies that you need (coffe maker, blender, toaster). You can walk right out of the Perdido Sun, rent or bring your own chairs and enjoy the beautiful beach, water , and sun. Great Stay!

• Relaxing!
  We truly enjoyed our time at Perdido sun in #302! The condo was extremely inviting and comfortable. We loved the deck the best ... nothing like sipping your coffee in the morning looking at the beach/gulf! The kitchen was stocked so that we had everything we needed. The staff at Perdido Sun were extremely helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend Coach's beach chair and umbrella rentals ... the service was superb, and the chairs very comfortable. We unfortunately were unhappy with the hot water heater when we arrived ... there wasn't enough for one person to take a warm shower. And even after the front desk told us they would look into it, the heater never really was able to support 2 hot showers. Also the blinds were broken in the bedroom and there were no curtains, so we had to hang towels to provide privacy and block out some of the lights. Despite the above disappointments, we would love to return and definitely recommend the location and condo! Thanks

• Olsen review unit # 306 Perdido Sun
  Regarding the overall complex; it is ideal. Great to have a lobby with very friendly helpful staff. Mac/Paula et al were GREAT! Location was great with easy beach access and great view's of gulf. No busy Florida congestion, with nice golf in surrounding area. Facilities Pool(s) hot tub, community room, BBQ et al were second to none. Fresh linens weekly was a plus. A bit of a drive to local attractions/shopping, but usually without heavy traffic. Weather was a bit cool, but better than Michigan. Made many new friends while at complex and likely will return next year. Great people and plenty of on-site activities for all. Unit # 306: Nice layout, bath & 1/2 was great. Balcony very nice. Living quarters comfortable even though Big-TV is a bit large for area. Bedroom too small for King-bed and mattress pretty hard/old? Kitchen cooking utensils were very poor (we provided our own). Kitchen small but functional. Did not use most of utensils provided. This unit probably better suited to transit (1-2 week stay) travelers. Overall value for the $ was fair.

  Thanks for the great feedback. The front desk staff members are great and truly and asset to the resort. As the condos are all privately owned, each one is furnished uniquely. Specifically in this unit the large TV it typically a hit with the guests and for this reason I do not think that the owners have any intentions of downsizing soon, but the feedback has been sent to them to consider. The dilemma of whether to put a king or queen bed in the master bedroom is one that all owners have faced. I think every time the owners choose to go with the larger bed as it suits the beach vacation setup better for those lucky enough to find a set of dated still available. Concerning the kitchen utensils; I am glad that you brought this to our attention. I have informed the owner and I think that as a result we will have some new utensils put into the condo. • Spacious and well appointed
  Our condo was spacious and well appointed. We had 6 teenagers plus my husband and I and it never felt crowded. The facility itself was well located and well kept in regards to the pool, hottub, etc. We had one minor problem with a broken DVD player and it was fixed promptly. A few minor things could be added to make it an A+ and those are larger flatscreen TVs in the lesser bedrooms along with DVD players in each bedroom, a new toaster (the one there has to be unplugged to turn it off) and measuring cups. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again.

• Great Winter Getaway
  We have traveled in the winter months for many years, but this year was the best....We loved waking up everyday and being right on one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. The amenities such as the indoor heated pool are unbelievable. The staff and other residents were great. It is a very friendly, social place. If you are looking for a great get away this place is for you.

• The most awesome place to spend a month of my 1st year of retire
  I simply loved the condo and the area. The condo itself was comletely furnished and felt like home. The hot tub and indoor pool were wonderful. I met the most amazing people and attended several snowbird activities. I already have made plans to return next year. JD was great and so helpful when making my reservation and following up on questions I had. I would highly recommend Perdido Key to all my friends.

  Perdido Sun is very well maintained and exceptionally clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. The beach is spectacular. Pools and Spa are excellent. Unit 902 is well decorated and well kept. A few minor issues need attention;both toilets need flush and fill valves replaced. There are closet doors missing knobs. HVAC ceiling register missing in bathroom.

• Great Winter Stay
  We spent 5 weeks at the Perdido Sun #902 and enjoyed our stay. Our condo was nicely decorated, but did lack cooking and serving items. The staff at the desk were very friendly and well as the maintenance staff. Everyone was very helpful. The indoor pool is wonderful and I loved the water arobics and the plannned activities. My husband also like the workout room. We will be returning next year for 3 months in this facility. Our snowbird friends are lots of fun and we can't wait to return. The location is great and located near grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, golf and churches. Enough to keep a snowbird from Wisconsin busy.

• Great condo
  Condo was great except for door from bedroom to balcony which kept opening and could not be locked. Decor was great, condo was huge. Pool was kept very warm. Beach is righ there.

• Great place but....
  There were only a few minor issues with the condo rental... well after an all day experience with traveling through airports we finally arrive at the condo to find that there is no one there to let us into our room or give us a key. If we would have known about the "codes" to get into the front door and into the after hours key box then this would not have been a problem, but we discovered later that the email you send to us with the after hours instructions was sent to us on the day we were traveling, while we were on the plane. I didn't have internet access from the airport to the condo so there was no way I could have checked or even knew that you had sent that email with the after hours instructions. After several phone calls to the condo management that acted like they had NO IDEA of how to get us a key or into our room. Luckily another resident trusted us enough and let us into the after hours key box. The only other issues were with getting on the internet...(password didn't work) it took a few days before I got a call back with help to connect... although I had already figured it out on my own. And the only other issue was that the front door has a MAJOR draft!! We were in room 200 and visited during the record lows from the begining of Jan. 2010 so it would have been nice to have a front door that was somewhat sealed when you close it. I am only mentioning this because I noticed several other people in the guest book complain about the "drafty" door as well. Other than that we hope to someday return to beautiful Perdido beach and catch some NICER weather. The condo was beautiful and was perfect for our needs. Thanks -CK

  Thanks for the feedback CK. I am glad that the issues were minor. The afterhours access code and instructions for any arrival after 5pm are located on the receipt issued when making the original reservation to the right of the outstanding balance. As indicated in the confirmation email, the day of arrival we process the remaining balance and email a zero balance receipt which also contains the access code and arrival instructions for those expecting to check-in after 5pm. There are several companies that rent condos at the Perdido Sun, so the front desk has numbers on the countertop for each of these different rental companies. If you called the wrong company then they would not know how to get you a key. This is the main reason why we include the late check-in instructions on our receipts. Our afterhours office is among the numbers there at the desk and whenever a guest requires afterhours access (i.e. locked themselves out or having trouble with the key) we are notifies and will gladly come out to open the condo. I personally had called the condo several times concerning the internet with no answer, as you were likely out enjoying the Perdido Key area, nonetheless I am glad that when we spoke the internet was working. Concerning the front door, thank you for the information as the owner has been notified and a work order scheduled to correct it immediately. • Super Duper
  We spent our first winter vacation to Perdido Key here at #614. The place is nicely decorated (no 1990's style here!) I'd say it was comfy and roomy enough for us, 2 adults and 2 kiddos. It has a great view of the ocean (first morning we saw gazillions of dolphins), beautiful sunsets... nice indoor pool (crazy husband even jumped into the outdoor pool), hot tub was outdoors, but still used it... I mean all in all we had a great time and plan on coming back in the summer (and probably again next winter).

• Beautiful Perdido Sun Resort,
  Dear Perdido Key Resort Management, Condo has a very beautiful place. This was pure and the assistants were friendly. Particularly the assistants in frontdesk were very friendly and helpfully. Unit 706 the carpet was beautifully,grounds(bottoms-carpet) could have been purer. The curtain were not all right. The balcony was very beautiful. Nevertheless we love this condo very much. • Extremely comfortable, quiet, and heavenly view!
  This condo (#1000) was homey and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfey. One really great thing is that there is a water view from both bedrooms. We especially enjoyed the indoor pool as the weather was rather chilly and the outdoor pool was too cold to use. The proximity to the water was great so we didn't have to walk too far in the sand. The only thing we found to be of fault was the blinds in the bedrooms...unable to close, open or raise them. We look forward to another stay at this condo in the future.

• All We Hoped
  My husband and I are senior adults wanting to enjoy the beach, the birds, the Gulf etc. in a location not too conjested. The location was all we hoped for with an awesome view. We found the building, grounds and our unit spotlessly clean. There was easy access to the beach with no steps. One of our favorite things in the condo were the raised counters in the bathrooms. The process of renting our unit, even at a late date went smoothly and communication was excellent.. We look forward to visiting again.

• Wonderful Vacation
  We really enjoyed our vacation and stay at Perdido Sun. We usually stay in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach but I found that going a few miles down the road saved us alot of money. We loved the condo especially the balcony. We were able to relax and eat our meals on the balcony that provided a lot of privacy. The condo was very clean and comfortable. We will stay there again!!

• Nice Beach Vacation
  It was nice being able to check in and out onsite. Everyone was very friendly and willing to give suggestions and directions. The condo was great! It was bright, clean, refreshing, and very relaxing. The weather was perfect for October which can be a gamble. We will definitly stay here again and are looking at units that are currently for sale.

• Almost Perfect.
  My wife and I had a wonderful time in the room/condo. There was enough room for us. The pools were great. The price was completely worth the stay! The one thing that stopped me from giving this room a 5-star rating was a missing ethernet cord. We were unable to connect to the internet. I would go back next year and have already recommended this place to friends.

• this unit needs lots of work
  unit 704, Perdido Sun needs complete upgrading/modernization of kitchen and all bath areas. unit did not even have towel bars for use, all broken. The door hardware needs replacement on all interior doors. The paint is ok but all is bland color from walls to furniture. It certainly was not worth 680+ bucks for a weeks stay. All outside closets are junky and very dirty looking. All bed linens need replacement with new sheets and a new comforter. apparently the owner takes no pride or interest in his investment. we did have a good time in spite of the units problems. bob and diane maddox

• Delightful honeymoon spot
  My husband and I got married at Johnson Beach in October, and spent four nights in this condo. It was beautiful and well-equipped. The view from the balcony is spectacular. Swimming in the indoor heated pool was relaxing. Only little problem we had was with the Perdido Sun itself. We tried to take an early morning (6:30 am) walk on the beach and found ourselves unable to get to the beach because every access door to the beach was locked! We could only get out the front door, and there was no way to go around to get to the beach. A little disappointing - but surely didn't ruin our honeymoon!!!! Suite 902 was glorious!

• Fall Getaway
  October is the best time of the year to visit the beach -- pleasant days and fewer people. Perdido Sun 812 was very comfortable, with a great balcony view. We were a little disappointed with the concrete balcony banister that blocked some of the lower view, but did afford more privacy. The balcony faces southwest, which is visible from the neighboring condos and eliminates a good view of the sunrise; however, our mornings were overcast, so it wasn't an issue. We have previously stayed in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. This was our first trip to Perdido Sun and it will be our first choice when we return again. The staff, condo and facilities were all first rate and the room rates were very reasonable. Altogether, a winning combination!

• Perdido Sun #1108
  We had a wonderful month stay at the Perdido Sun. It was great to be able to check in and check out at the front desk. The condo was lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. We saw dolphins and string rays from our balcony. Had a few cool mornings so really enjoyed having the heated indoor pool. It was great having the quiet beaches of Perdido and yet being close enough to surrounding towns if you wanted to get out and do things. The Naval museum is worth a visit. Everyone was friendly and helpful. When we take a vacation we go to relax! This was the perfect place for that. I enjoyed every part of our vacation.

• Wonderful Stay
  This was my first time to Perdido Key, my boyfriend had been there before and had recommended we go. We had a wonderful time, the condo was clean and well organized. We were close to Johnsons Beach which was beautiful and had a lovely time enjoying the accomodations at the condo. There were restaurants near by but it wasn't busy and "touristy", being Floridians, we like to look for places that are hidden away. • A Little Heaven On Earth
  The management was helpful in arranging an extra night visit for us at the last minute. No matter the time of day, the staff was friendly and courteous. The condo was beautifully decorated and furnished with all the amenities we needed. • Awesome Week!!!
  Our condo was beautifully furnished, very comfortable and fantastic view of beach! There was a guest book in the condo that everyone expressed the same experiences that we had....wonderful!! We will ask for this same condo next visit! The only thing that we would improve would be the blinds in the front windows. You could see through them and we had to put a sheet up for privacy because the bedroom is in front.

• Mixed feelings
  My favorite part of staying in a gulf front condo is sitting on the balcony for hours enjoying the view. Unfortunately, because this balcony was recessed with walls on either side we did not get any breeze. This made sitting out unbearable except for early morning. We did have a nice view of the surf but could not see sunrise or sunset from the balcony. The location of the building was very nice and other units had a diferent type balcony. The furniture was nice and kitchen was well-equipped.

  This is one of our most enjoyed homes and it is unfortunate that the seclusion in which the private balcony provides negatively affected your opinion of Perdido Sun Condo 1008. It is perfect for enjoying the view without worrying about getting sun burnt and the beachfront location makes it convenient to stroll onto the beach to layout from the lobby. In this case, the condo was reserved online and our website's condo listings have pictures of each condo view so as to accurately represent them to our guests. As the breezes are usually coming from the south, the balcony is comfortable for a relaxing evening. In retrospect, there may have not been a southerly breeze over this weekend and for that we apologize. Previous guests have found the view to be fantastic and this is a wonderful home. We strive to ensure the vacation experience each of our guests has while at the Perdido Sun is a pleasant one. This is the reason for our efforts to provide unique condo listings, descriptions, and contact information for our office being delivered upon making a reservation. If ever anyone has a concern we would like to be certain that these concerns are brought to our attention and addressed in a timely manner. • Enjoyed our stay immensely.
  The accommodations were just perfect for the two of us. Eveything we needed was available and comfortable. The setting overlooking the beach was beautiful. . . loved relaxing on the balcony with a cup or coffee or a bottle of wine when we weren't out swimming in the ocean. The staff members were friendly and helpful. We wouldn't change anything. You can tell the building has been well maintained through the years. P.S. We did wonder if we could bring a croquet set the next time we come and set up on the grassy area beside the pool. That spot looks like it was made for croquet!!

• Nice view, but room smell wasn't ok
  The room size is great and the view as well. But, the room had a bad smell in the first night when we arrived. I don't know if we got used to it, or if the smell actually went away. But, it was bad when we arrived.

• Excellent condo with a great view!!
  We stayed at this condo during labor day weekend of 2009. It was my two children, my husband, and myself. It had an excellent view of the beach and the condo itself was very nice. The staff at the resort was very curteous and helpful. The condo had all the amenities we had hoped it would. It was very clean and well taken care of. My only complaint was that the bathtub did not drain well so you were standing in your water while trying to get clean! Other than that, we had an excellent vacation and I would def. rent from them again in the future.

• An outpost of heaven!
  Absolutely amazing, flawless. The prices were affordable which we needed and ultimately led us to select this resort. Please keep the prices affordable! The resort was immaculately clean. The time spent in Perdido Bay, at the Perdido Sun and in 1006 will be forever treasured and remembered (thanks especially to Sue Halfhill). The countless stresses we accumulated living in the break-neck paced cities of Manhattan and Atlanta were washed away! THANK YOU! We will be back. My only suggestion is that the Perdido Sun Resort Board of Directors and Management implement a recycling program on the property.

• tranquil
  I've stayed at Perdidio Sun numerous times and have always had a very pleasant time. My most recent stay was fab!!! the condo is large, beds are large, kitchen fully stocked, outstanding view out on the balcony. lots of extra linens were provided as well. The owner and management were extremely nice. I certainly recommend this condo to all!!! Hurry and go to Perdido Sun... everyone is pleasant. You just can't get enough of the ocean breeze and the view. total relaxation.

• One word WOW!
  It was the first time my wife and I were in the Pensaclo area and we had a great time, the condo was great you can't beat the view. Very centrally located to everything we wanted to do. Don't miss the Avation Museum and the Blue Angels.

• Nice, clean, organized condo
  Everything was in place, clean, and homey. Enjoyed our stay. Would have been nice to see beach from left and right, but guess the uuilding was built so it would allow more privacy, observing to the right, and pool area below. Would have been nice to have an ice machine for all. Thought more resturants would be built back, but realize it's probably tough. Within 20 miles, only 7-8 places, mostly seafood. If many come from Ms, LA, and TX gulf coast, they get seafood anytime. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable.

Yes you are correct in that the building allows for great gulf front views from every condo and still provides privacy between balconies. I would have liked to been able to point you in the direction for atmosphere you were in search of. The island has several great restaurants, a several nightlife venues, and countless places for breathtaking views in the afternoons. It is true that the island does not cater to a wild nightlife scene, although there is an array of places to enjoy a cocktail whether at a bar or waterfront Perdido Key restaurant. Just to name a few; the Oyster Bar, Sunset Grill, Crab Trap, and Cobalt all have great food each with their own unique flare and are footsteps from the water. Nightlife can be enjoyed listening to live music on the weekends at the Tiki Bar, The Reef, The Jellyfish Bar, or any day at the FloraBama. My favorite views are those from of the Intracoastal Waterway at sunset although most of our guests prefer the big red, orange, pink, and blue horizon at sunset or sunrise as seen from a spot on the beach. • Very nice condo
  The condo was beautiful and just what we wanted. We had a great view of the beach. The pools were great. The only problem we had was with the beach chair rental company. They were not affiliated with the condo but took up all the beach space in front of the condo. We had to walk a good way down the beach to get a spot. Overall it was a good stay.

• Paradise

  Nothing unusual. The air in the kitchen from cabinets was so stinky all thge time. Coffe maker never replaced. The bad bedroom was OK but not very comforable. Everythink else OK. From 1 to 10, grade 6.

• Family Trip
  Have stayed in the Perdido Sun before, just in a different condo. We had a great time in #200. Short elevator ride to/from the pool and beach. This condo is well decorated and has all the essentials that you would need for your stay, plus a really nice view. The only issue that we had was in the bathrooms. The inner shower curtain and around the tubs had some mold growing. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

  We LOVED the balcony view it was great! although you couldn't see the sunrise from the angle, we love having direct view of the beach and the ocean. The staff were very friendly, helpful and very accomodating to our needs.

• Nice place, great location!
  We rented the unit for 4 nights in early August. We were there for an anniversary trip with no kids. The condo had a great view, great porch, nice kitchen, bedroom, etc. Everything we needed was in the unit. Small ice maker in the freezer worked great and was helpful for beach coolers! The staff was helpful when we needed them. We had a toilet that was running when we arrived. It was fixed before we were back from dinner. The front desk people made some great recommendations for dinner and entertainment. I would say that the t.v.s and some of the decor were in need of updating. We did really care to watch the LR t.v. but I'm not sure it worked. The t.v/dvd in the BR was fine. I hate to even complain since it was a non-issue for us and the place was so comfortable. Perdido Key had the most beautiful beach (which was right out the back door of the condo) and was quieter than Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, etc. The place is close to a drug store, grocery store, gas station, etc., without going into the congested area of Orange Beach/Gulf Shores. Those places were the other direction just across the intercoastal canal. 8th floor was also nice. Just high enough to be a little quieter but you could still enjoy the view and sounds of the ocean. The Perdido Sun would be a great condo for kids, too. The pools were nice, the lobby and parking were convenient. I would return with family and rent a bigger unit in the future. The complex had easy access to the ocean. We rented a beach umbrella with lounge chairs and came and went throughout the day without losing our "reserved" spot. I wish I could have stayed longer. I guess I will have to remedy that problem next time!

• We very much enjoyed our stay in Condo #200 at Perdido Sun.
  This was a very nicely decorated condo in a great location. It met our needs perfectly! While in Florida, we drove to other areas close by such as Pensacola Beach and Orange Beach and Gulf Shores and we definitely liked the Perdido Key area the best! Would've stayed longer had time allowed.

• A WONDERFUL FAMILY GETAWAY!!!!
  OUR FIRST FAMILY VACATION WITH KIDS AND GRANDKIDS IN ALMOST SIX YEARS (WITH ONE ADDITION SINCE THE LAST VACATION). WE HAD THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME. THE BEACH WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL, FAR DIFFERENT THAN THE BEACHES HERE IN TEXAS. OUR CONDO WAS ESPECIALLY NICE. EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY NEED WAS PROVIDED AND THE DECOR WAS LOVELY. • Great experience

• Cleaning, repairs and furnishings
  Old box of cereal in cabinet. Cabinet door was off. Kitchen a little lacking in kitchenware. Sofa sleeper was not for sleeping - had to put an inflatable air mattress so the springs would not poke through. Only 2 bath towels for 4 people, 5 night stay. No extra pillows or blankets. Furnishing could use some updating. Have stayed at several condos on The Key and this was the one I would choose last.

• Lots of FUN!
  We had a blast! The palce was great. Loved the fact that you had an indoor pool as well. The only issue we had was when we got there the room was not all that clean. There was garbage and hair under the sink and the dust on the cieling fan was thick and gross so we did not use it. The silk plants were dusty too. Other than that we really enjoyed the room and place. We would return again. Thanks!

Upon check-in we issue all keys and passes, but request that the guests not move their belongings into the condo until 4pm unless we call sooner to say that the condo is ready early. This allows for the housekeeping to have ample time to finish with their duties following a 10am check-out. We have directed the housekeeping, if the guest wishes to move into the unit early, to stop and vacate the condo. I apologize that the housekeepers did not have the condo ready when you moved in early, but I am certain that had they had more time that it would have been up to par by standard check-in time. • most peaceful and enjoyable weekend ever!
  We got in late and the key was left as explained. There were no hassles with check in or out. The staff at the resort were extremely nice and helpful! we had such a good time. The condo was so nice and everything beach wise was convenient. We didnt get out much rather than go for a run, trip to the grocery and sno cones right across the street. The only thing we would have wished to know more about...the local places to eat. We didnt see too much right around the condo or didnt know where to go. We are already talking about coming next year! Thank you

• We love Perdido Key!!
  We stayed over 4th of July and had a great time. The beach and water was perfect. This condo has an excellent view and comfortable balcony. The condo was perfect size and value for 2 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen was well stocked and updated. Only has 1 1/2 bath and laundry facilities are downstairs which was a little inconvenient. Lobby is very nice and pool was great also. Perdido Key is beautiful, not crowded and close to all attractions but away from the traffic of Gulf Shores. Local restaurants were excellent. This was our 2nd trip to Perdido Key and we will definitely be back.

• Great Vacation Place
  Payment was effortless. Check in and check was also effortless. The condo was clean, comfortable and well maintained. I've been coming to Perdido Sun since the early to mid nineties and have always enjoyed the location. The area has everything you need without the traffic jams and crowds. The beach is cleaner, and the water is prettier than in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach. I wish I could stay there forever.

• Loved Watching the Dolphins
  We enjoyed our stay very much! The unit was nicely decorated. The Perdido Sun offered all that we could ask for in terms of amenities, and JD (the property manager) provided excellent service. Our favorite part of the visit was watching the dolphins play while enjoying the beautiful ocean view from the balcony in our unit. Hopefully, next time we can stay longer.....

• The best R&R ever
  Perdido Sun was a wonderful place for me and my family, even thought we had 5 people, and a one bedroom, we still had more than enough room. Beautiful view to ocean, and the pool right under my balcony so it was easy to watch after the kids whenever they were in the pool without me being at the pool. Every accomadation you needed, and the staff very friendly and helpful. I'm already planning my trip back there next year!!!

• Great Vacation, but very out-dated
  We had such a fabulous vacation. I loved the access to the beach and the inside/outside pools were nice too. The lobby staff were friendly. I was disappointed in our room. The furniture, bathrooms, paint, etc... were very outdated. It was not at all dirty; however, for the price we paid I would expect everything to be fresh and newer looking. Several of our relatives were there at the same time and paid a slightly higher fee for thier condos. The places they stayed versus ours can't even be compaired. I will definately pay a little extra next time for updated accomidations and and better amenities.

• Wonderful Getaway Time
  It started out bad! We had booked to stay in "ANOTHER" location my office had booked online by viewing those nice pictures. Once, At the "OTHER" location, I walked in and turned around and walked out. It was terrible and in no way close to the pictures posted online when booking. That's when I decided to Call Perdido Key Resort Management as recommended by a friend. Within 30 minnutes we were walking into "Perdido Sun Resort #1000". It was exactly what we were looking for in our getaway together. Wonderful place with rental management staff meeting our emergency situation needs to find a relaxing place after being tramatized with the prior internet choice. The weekend turned from a tramatic start and into an unforgetable relaxing experience. We will no longer use internet photos or rates to assist us in our vacation getaway selection. We will call Perdido Key Resort Management! Their service and accomadations were wonderful and the rates were within our established budget for our getaway. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

• Loved it - Perfect for our family!
  We've been coming to Perdido Key for years and absolutely love it! We especially love the Perdido Sun since it is on the west side and uncrowded. The beach is beautiful and so are the indoor and outdoor pools. Our room's decor wasn't to die for, but the view was. The kids also enjoyed the games and DVD players in every room. The layout of the condo is also really great since the bedrooms are separated, offering a little privacy. We really enjoyed our stay and are already planning next year's trip. I can't say enough how much we love Perdido Key!

• Our 1st Perdido Key Visit
  My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Perdido Sun #1006. Check in, and check out, was quick. The employees were friendly and helpful. Excellent service. This condo was clean, however a little out-dated (colors and furniture). The kitchen was fully equipped with anything you might need. There was a nice variety of books, DVD's and games. And the view of the beach....awesome. Definitely not a "party" atmosphere. These condos have a "quiet-relaxed" feel to them. Exactly what we were looking for. We were able to enjoy the water without worry of jet-skis, banana boats, etc. Liked the best: Friendly employees, beach view, cleanliness, organized kitchen, everything in working order, quiet atmosphere Liked the least: Colors, furniture, cost Overall - Very enjoyable

• Perfect for this couple with 2 toddlers
  We have two boys under 3 years old, and this condo was perfect for us! It was on the 2nd floor and SO convenient to the lobby, pool and beach. The pull-out sofa mattress wasn't sleepable, but what pull out is?? The master bed was fine and had the most comfortable pillows! We put the kids in pack n' plays in the livingroom, and all of us had just enough room. We loved having DVD players in both rooms. LOVED the pools. We compared the pools to the neighboring condos and decided this set-up was the best. Why? It has an indoor AND outdoor pool, which means neither pool was crowded. Even though our patio overlooked the pool, this condo was SO quiet and pleasant. The kitchen had everything we needed, 2 bathrooms, hot water, just great.   My family has been coming to Perdido Sun for years. All of the rooms are nice, but this one was by far the nicest furnished and equipped than any we have stayed at. It has beautiful bedroom furniture, nicely decorated bathrooms, and a great entertainment center. The view from the 9th floor is also great.

• Really Nice Condo
  We have stayed at Perdido Sun for the last several years but consistently since the storm washed away our "other favorite." This unit was clean and had all new furnishings. The rental manager came out to fix the only problem that we had the same day that we called him! You can see the beach to monitor the kids but the pools are not really within monitor view. All in all, a great place to stay. We plan on coming back this year.

• Highly Recommended Condo
  Unit 812 is a comfortable and attractie condo with a terrific view of the beach and the pool/hot tub. The facility is excellent (Perdido Sun) and is conveniently located. It is a secure facility with a great indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub with only a few hundred feet walk to the ocean shore. Great beach. We stayed there for a week and would have gladly stayed much longer in this condo.

  This is truly a lovely home away from home. It has everything one would need to settle right in and enjoy a relaxing holiday. From the moment I saw this particular condo on the internet I knew I wanted to stay here. I loved the decor, the color scheme ,and the balcony overlooking the beautiful beach and ocean.The grounds were very well maintained and everyone on the front desk was so friendly and helpful.My time here was too short. • A Great Snwobird Home
  We were looking for a place to spend some time to avoid the worst of the Maine Winter. Stumbled across Perdido Key and found Perdido Key Resort Management and John Hallam. He was a delight to work with. The condo was exactly as pictured and had everything needed for an extended stay. The view off the balcony of the Gulf was awesome and the people at Perdido Sun were very friendly and helpful. The enclosed pool was always warm and the sun felt wonderful there in the morning. It is not always warm on the gulf in February, but if you are from the northern climes, it is a lot warmer than when you left. It was a wonderful stay.

• Love this property
  As someone who NEVER wants to go back to the same condo I have to say I love this property and would go back in a heartbeat. The lobby is beautiful. I like there's a staffed desk during the day. The covered pool was awesome when it was too hot or raining. The balcony was huge and awesome. There is open beach next door and is not crowded at all. The only beef I have is our unit needed updated decor and had no w/d so we had to use the coin operated ones in basement. Had to cross the street to the bar to get quarters too. I knew that going in though so next time I'd get a unit w/better decor and a w/d & it would be perfect. We will probably be back...

• Great place to relax!
  I was introduced to the complex through my son who had booked a room for his family. Although I called at the last minute I was able to rent unit #200. • Escapade for two
  We were introduced to the perdido Key area through our friends who had relatives that retired there. We went back with the intentions of discovering the place on our own. Boy did we get a pleasant surprise! The best part was the fact that they had boats come in to a place called Jo Patty's that brought in fresh seafood twice a day. The fact that the condo had a kitchen and suite type set up was perfect. We went nuts cooking up storms in that kitchen and enjoyed fresh seafood caught practically minutes before purchase and enjoyed it at the balcony that gave you splendid views of the sea face. All in all we really liked the stay at the condo also because of the hot tub the pool and even the heated indoor pool. The facilities were very clean and we have actually gone there twice since in less than two years.

• Sun,Sand and Oh That Beach!
  We love the Perdido Area and have been here every year since the 80's. Ivan changed where we stayed, and we found Perdido Sun and it has been great. The kids can play in the pool & we can watch from our balcony. The ocean is right there & it was nice to have immediate response to any problem that arose. Friendly staff and good security. The furnishings in the unit we had last year were excellent. We'll be back in 2009 also.

• Best on the Beach
  Over the past ten years we have stayed at the Perdido Sun multiple times. Our teen aged daughter is in a wheelchair and for a long time Perdido Sun was the most accessible property on the beach. Also one of the few with and indoor and outdoor pool. We have never been disappointed with our visits.

  I would return to this vacation location again. The condo we rented was a pretty place. The furnishing were nice. The colors in the unit were relaxing. The condo we rented needed some minor maintenance, nothing serious. We particularly liked the pool / indoor pool / and glassed in area. One recommendation, you need a baby pool for small children....Nice place, the cost was good for the week we were there in October. Walk to the beach was a nice distance, not so far away from pool as most resorts. We would rent this unit again. Donna Memphis Tennessee

• Great Vacation Location / Resort
  I would stay here again. The rates were good for the week we were there. The condo we rented was clean, furnishings pretty and clean.. Our particular condo needed a little touch of minor maintenance, nothing serious. We liked the indoor pool / glassed room area. One thing to consider would be a baby pool for small children.. • Nice Condo
  Nice view of the ocean. Relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch the waves roll in. Right on the beach and has a nice covered swimming pool. Very clean. Had a great time and definately would go back.

• Post-wedding stay
  My wife and I stayed here after we got married on the beach at the Perdido Key State Park in October. We had the condo from Thursday thru Sunday. It was great. The condo was in great shape and fit our needs perfectly. The pool was nice, but the beach was nicer. It seemed more laid back than a few of the other properties we saw. The view from the balcony at sunrise/sunset was outstanding. Our wedding guests stayed at the Purple Parrot Resort, also on Perdido Key. (our guests gave the Purple Parrot great reviews) The manager at the Purple Parrot, JD, recommened the condo at the Perdido Sun, and helped in getting it booked for us. It is definetly a place that we would consider going to again.

• Fantastic
  This particular condo was supurb. We would not have changed anything. We liked the area so well, we went home, sold everything we have and moved to Gulf Shores, renting a condo for a year in Ft. Morgan. We would have loved to got a place at Perdido Sun but they do not allow dogs and we have 2 small shiz tzu dogs who are like our kids. If we had not have came and enjoyed ourselves so very much if such a great condo, we would still be in Memphis freezing!!! We have been here since Jan. 1st and I truly thank God that we had such a rewarding experience at Perdido Sun that we made this drastic change in our lives. Thank you so very much!!

• Last-minute fun
  We were able to find and book this property as a last-minute getaway for some summer relaxation and had a wonderful time. The complex was smaller, and not one of those massive multi-building condos, which made for a much more enjoyable stay (less noise, less crowded on the beach/pool). The staff was friendly, particularly the young man running the umbrella stand (Zack?). The condo itself was decorated nicely; however, we felt it needed some renovation in the bathrooms and bedroom. We loved the living room and balcony--perfect for sitting around and just watching the sun set. The evening activities were enjoyable (crabbing on the beach with random families you happened to meet). All in all we had a very nice time and would love to return this year with a few more family members.

• Awesome View
  We had a wonderful time on our vacation at the Perdido Sun. It is right on the beach with an excellent view. The management was very helpful and easy to get along with. We will definitely be returning again this year and we are looking forward to it!

• Relaxing
  I have been coming to Perdido Sun for years and have always found it to be an enjoyable experience. I brought the children when they were small as this is a very family friendly location. Now that the children are grown, my wife and I come during the off season to take advantage of the great rates. We enjoy the solitude of the beach and the Peridio Key area during the off season. The grounds, common areas and the condo are always superb. Mack at the front desk is very helpful and personable.

• 1st time to the ocean
  Extremely clean and modern condo. Fully stocked with everything you would need. Friendly management. Would NOT change a thing or wish anything about this room at this condo was different. A+++ all the way around. I look forward to hopefully another stay sometime in the near future.

• Off-season relaxation
  We had a lovely time at the Perdido Sun #202 last fall. Normally we travel to Sanibel/Captiva for our fall vacation. Since we have a toddler now, we decided to try the panhandle, saving us 8 hours of extra driving time. What a wonderful time we had! Since it was after Labor Day, all of the resorts were BARELY half-full. It was like we had the island to ourselves. We had some added excitement when Hurricane Ike was rolling through the gulf. The wind and waves were something to behold. As for the property, it fit our needs perfectly. Our unit was nicely decorated, and it had everything we needed. The kitchen was impeccable. The balcony had great views, even on a low floor. Also, this unit was very affordable. That's another reason we travel in the off-season. One word of caution-- the product the housekeepers use on the tile floors causes them to be very slippery. That's probably due to the humidity, though. Other than that little glitch, Unit 202 is perfect for us, and we plan to retun- preferably not when storms are in the gulf.

• Quick break
  We spent a wonderful couple of days at this property in April to celebrate my daughter's first tax season as a CPA. Property was great; unit was lovely. We really enjoyed the deck and the view. Close enough to everything but yet out of the fray. Would definitely recommend this location to others.

• Great family get away
  Our family was looking for a quiet and fun get away place that was within a drive-able distance. We found Perdido Key through a few friends and then stumbled onto Perdido Sun Resort. What a find. The beach was incredible. The condo was great. The pools were a nice break from the surf or when the jelly fish freaked out my 5 year old. The management company was helpful in preparing for the trip and when we left something behind, all it took was a call to John for him to personally go and look for the item, pack it up, and ship it back. All-in-all a great place for rest and relaxation.

• Very relaxing - Wonderful Condo
  My Wife and I were looking for a beachfront condo at an affordable price. Our stay at the Perdido Sun #614 was outstanding. The view of the gulf is great and the indoor pool was an extra treat. The condo is very nicely decorated and comfortable, we longed for nothing! Great stay, great condo, great price. Perdido Sun rocks!
