Kids Day Out
A Day at the Beach - This should be a given and for good reason! Build a sand-castle during the day and play in the waves. Night time? Grab a flashlight, net and bucket. Go out to the beach and see if the kids can catch a sand crab in the net. Harder than it sounds and a great way to burn off any energy left from the day.
High Flyers - Check out the Blue Angels practice flights, the Naval Aviation Museum and IMAX Theater at Pensacola NAS.
Wildlife - Check out Big Lagoon State Park or head over to Johnson Beach. The sea life and wildlife is abundant all year. The Spring and Fall are especially busy with the migratory birds passing through the area.
Go Fishing - Whether you choose to surf fish, head out to the pier, or charter a boat - a first catch for your child will be the best catch you, as a parent, ever seen landed!
Dolphins anyone? - Take a dolphin boat cruise. Many of the boat Captains show you more than dolphins and create an environment on the boat that everyone, regardless of age, enjoys. The kids (and adults) will love learning about the local sea life, wildlife, birds, and waterways.
Hands-on Fun your thing? - Make a visit to the T.T. Wentworth Jr. Florida State Museum. Participate in a Gulf Islands National Seashore Ranger activity/camp. There are even art classes sponsored by Artworks at Villagio in the Villagio shopping center. Or, something more predictable, go to Adventure Island to play arcades, mini-golf, bumper boats, and more!
