After we got a heavy rain here in Perdido my kids and I decided to take a trip to the check out the Perdido Key beaches to see what the ocean washed up for us. When a big rain come through here the ocean stirs up like a big pot and some interesting things pop up on the beach. Of course there were your typical sand dollars, shell and sea plant life, but the coolest thing was all the starfish! There were tons! Almost everywhere we look there was a starfish sunbathing on the sand! My daughter Gwen had her hands full with the little sea stars! We sure will have to take trips to the Perdido Key beaches after rain more often! -Amber

What’s the best thing to do while staying here in Perdido Key? That’s the most frequently asked question we get when making reservation over the phone each day. There are so many things to do in Perdido Key while on vacation like go to see the Blue Angels, take a dolphin spotting boat ride, sunset cruise, charter boat fishing trip, spend the day at the pool or sunning on your balcony. Evening in the Sand This past weekend we took a walk on the beach around 5 o’clock. We grabbed some drinks on the way out at the Jelly Fish Bar, and took a stroll along the coast. It was awesome. The beach wasn’t too crowded and the weather was fantastic. Still a little bit of sun was shining with the sunset starting. There was a nice cool breeze. The water was really calm and cool.
