The top attractions that you need to visit while here on you're Perdido Key Vacation!

1. Dolphin Cruise - Blue Dolphin Cruises -Blue Dolphin Cruises launches near Perdido Key and  offers an awesome dolphin sightseeing tour on a 51 ft, sea worthy, heated/air-conditioned bi-hull boat with inside and outside seating.

 

2. Fishing Charters- Lost Bay Guide Service-Captain Bill Willis is a native of Pensacola and has fished the waterways surrounding Perdido Key and Orange Beach for over twenty five years. In addition to local knowledge he has fished Key West ,Marquesas Islands, Sebastians Inlet, Mosquito Lagoon, Indian River, Apalachicola, Sarasota sound, Indian Pass, Louisiana Marsh and most lakes and ditches in between. Bill and his wife Monica are both licensed Captains and share a passion for the outdoors. With two boys of his own, Bill enjoys teaching young anglers how to get the most out of every trip on the water.

 

3. Big Lagoon State Park-  Big Lagoon State Park is a wonderful place to be for a plethora of activities. Right next to the Purple Parrot Village Resort is host to a wide variety of wildlife, beautiful natural communities, ranging from saltwater marshes to pine flat woods. You can enjoy your favorite outdoor activities such as, camping, swimming, fishing, boating, canoeing and hiking. The shallow waters are perfect for crabbing! The west picnic area, shaded with pines and oaks, is wonderful to enjoy a relaxing meal.

 

4. Downtown Pensacola – Downtown Pensacola has so much to offer! It is one of our favorite hidden gems here in Pensacola! Just 15-20 mile out from Perdido Key is a plethora of fun. Tons of delicious top rated restaurants like Global Grille or The Tin Cow, local boutiques and bakeries, shopping, and lots of music and good times!

5. Water Park - Waterville USA is a 20 acre water park and amusement park located ¼ of a mile from the beach in a beautiful resort community, Gulf Shores, Alabama.  Waterville opened the original water park in 1986 and since that time the park has added over $10 million in new or replaced attractions.  Waterville USA has the best collection of water rides on the Gulf Coast!

 

6. Golf -This 6808 yard “Arnold Palmer Designed” golf course is here in Perdido Key, complimented by our blue water and sugar white sand, this course is kept by a PGA staff, with exceptional course maintenance. With a traditional clubhouse and the first "Flora dwarf" greens! With 18 holes there's enough playtime for you to forget about life outside the greens.

 

7. Water Sports -You will parasail high above the Gulf of Mexico with our experienced team and advanced liftoff and landing technology. From 800 feet in the air, enjoy spectacular views of our emerald waters and tropical beaches—if you’re lucky you may even see a dolphin! In addition to parasailing, we offer Jet Ski rentals, Sail Boat Rides and Banana Boat rides. No trip to the beach is complete without a stop at Perdido Key Parasail!

 

8. Kayaking - A locally owned family business, Perdido Key Kayak Rentals is dedicated to helping you enjoy outdoor Perdido Key, Florida. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, there is no better way to explore the beach, bay or Intracoastal than on a kayak!

They’ll deliver a kayak right to your condo or simply ask them for a launch site recommendation!

 

9. Arcades and Family Fun - Adventure Island is a family fun park in Orange Beach, Alabama, just a 5-10 min drive from Perdido Key! With lots of activities like, Go-Carts, Paddle Boats, Mini-Golf, Laser Tag, Simulator Rides, and over 100 Video Games! Grab a bite to eat or challenge a family member to a battle of the Bumper Boats! OPEN YEAR ROUND!

 

10. Sunset Cruise - Wild Hearts Catamaran-Experience the joy and exhilaration of sailing aboard our beautiful 53’ Catamaran. Flora-Bama – Just a few minutes down the road from the Perdido Sun Resort is the Last American Roadhouse, world renowned live music venue, host to the International song writer’s festival, recently host to Kenny Chesney’s Flora-Bama Jama’, the Flora -Bama is one of the biggest and most popular attractions nearby! The have tons of festivals year round, like their popular Mullet Toss in April, Shindig on The Sand in June, The Flora- Bama Fishing Rodeo  in June, and so many more!

 

12. The Hangout – One of our favorite musical spots is definitely The Hangout in Gulf Shores!There’s lots of live music, food and good people all around you!  Grab a bite at their signature restaurant and taste some AMAZING burgers! The Hangout is also host to the super popular annual “Hangout Fest”. Which has been host to so many great artists like The Foo Fighters, Zac Brown Band, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Skrillex, and many more!

 

13. The Wharf @ Orange Beach – An absolute must when visiting Perdido Key is to take a trip across the bridge into Orange Beach, just 10 miles down the road, and exploring the awesome features of The Wharf! With lots of shopping and dining you’ll always have something to do! Catch a movie at the Carmike Cinema in their state of the art luxury theatres. The Wharf in Orange Beach has also been host to some of the best musical artists such as, Brad Paisley, Florida Georgia Line, Kenny Chesney, Montgomery Gentry and MANY MORE!

 

14. National Aviation Museum - The National Naval Aviation Museum is the world’s largest Naval Aviation museum and one of the most-visited museums in the state of Florida. Share the excitement of Naval Aviation’s rich history and see more than 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Aviation. These historic and one-of-a-kind aircraft are displayed both inside the Museum’s nearly 350,000 square feet of exhibit space and outside on its 37-acre grounds. There’s so much to see and do, you’ll want to stay all day! Admission is free!

 

15. THE BEACH OF COURSE!- No one can beat our sugar white sands and emerald water of Perdido Key .Consistently among the top beaches in the United States. Grab a beach chair and relax under the sun. If you want to get a little secluded on your vacation check out Johnsons Beach National Seashore, it’s a private beach here in Perdido , that has a lifeguard, showers, and covered pavilions. Or drive a little down further for your own section of the beach all to yourself. We definitely think some good peace and quiet is worth 8$ for the week.
