The island is teeming with vacationers here as groups, families, couples and even some single just looking to get away from work for the weekend. The beginning of the summer rental season was not a strong as in years past, but this was a result of many school calendars going further into May and even June this year. The later the school calendar extends, the longer families must wait to go on vacation. This is typical of a season where Easter is early and Memorial Day is too, because, in addition to the kids not out of school yet, everyone just took a weekend-trip (Memorial Day) so their vacation fix may have been temporarily satisfied. Nonetheless the lull didn't last long and did not impact all of the calendars. The summer rush ramped up quickly and our vacation home as well as condos are full of happy beach-goers here for a short time wishing they could live here like we do!
How great have the rentals been? Well we're up this year and we expect to continue that trend well into August before beginning the shoulder season transition. That should sum it up. If your rentals aren't up, then give us a call and we can look into what can be done to get you on the right track!
