The property was very nice. The only thing was one TV didn’t work and one TV did not work properly. There wasn’t any batteries in any remotes and the remote for cable wasn’t there. The overall stay was fantastic.

Manager Reply

Glad you had a great time. We found the batteries for the remote and the TV works, it was just on the wrong input :) Next time, let us know while you're here and we'll be happy to help!

The beach was beautiful

4 of 5

The beach was beautiful but the parking situation is horrible. Unless you live on or are staying in one of the hotels, beach access is limited. I guess others are just out of luck!! The beach should be for everyone!!

Manager Reply

We are so glad you enjoyed our beaches! We are very sorry you had trouble parking! We suggest going to Johnson Beach! They have plenty of parking and the beaches are gorgeous!

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Searobin. Everything was great, right at the pool and beautiful. We stayed at 3a last year and it was also wonderful. We are looking forward to staying next year also. Again very very enjoyable Harry and Cindy Simpson

Unit was perfect--pool repairs disappointing!

4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed the condo. We rented two units this one and one next to it for the extended family vacation. We enjoyed both and the setting that they are situated in. Perfect for young children. But the pool was being repaired three of the days during our week at the Parrot. With the tile work being done, the waterfalls were not functioning. The kids were disappointed. It seems to us that this type of repair should be done in March, not July when you are charging prime season rates

Manager Reply

Glad you enjoying the condo. Sorry about the waterfall during your stay. Lightning struck the pump for the waterfall and it had to be replaced, which required a new one to be ordered and installed. The tile work was just the pool guy cleaning the tiles in the morning. If we could have prevented the lightning strike we certainly would have as we know how it adds to the resort's ambiance. Glad you have a good time otherwise and that the condo was perfect for your small family. Kindest Regards, JD Hallam PKRM Rental Manager

BEACH MAMA'S 42 C

5 of 5

We were thrilled with our accomodations. The condo was beautiful, clean, and equipted with everything we may have needed. When we booked the reservation, we were conserned about it not being on the beach. However, there is a great beach (Johnson's beach) right down the road. It is almost empty. It has pavillions, restrooms and a shower. We looked down the beach at the crowded beach front condo and felt lucky to be where we were!

Awesome Family Getaway

5 of 5

Our family enjoyed the beautiful cottage and the beautiful scenery. The house was secluded in it's own little area with just a few neighbors to visit and party with. The house had every comfort of home and was immaculate, we loved everything about it. The management staff was friendly and efficient we can't wait to go back next year!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Beach Mama's. The home was warm and inviting and provided just the respite we were looking for. Both the grocery and the beach were very close!

Loved it!

5 of 5

Great place, great location and awesome staff! The places were very clean and very homey. I loved it. I had a 1 bed/1 bath unit, 2 bed/1 bath unit, and a 3 bed/ 2.5 bath unit. They were great. The pool was nice inside b/c the weather was terrible during our stay. The sauna was great too.

It was our best family Christmas ever

5 of 5

This was our second stay at the resort. Our first stay was a between house hunt when we lived in Pensacola. We loved it so much we stayed for 4 mounths instead of 4 weeks. This resort home was great for bringing all my family together for Christmas. We enjoyed it so much that we are going back in March. You must check it out!

42C Rocks!

5 of 5

We rented Beach Mama's 42C for a weekend getaway with my sister and her family. It was more than we could have ever asked for. We required late check-in and as promised the key was readily available and the pool passes were inside waiting! The condo was very clean and outfitted with all the modern convienences. Although it was not on the beach it was a quick drive. We grilled out in the courtyard and enjoyed a peaceful picnic dinner! Thank you for a great weekend!

Purple parrot for locals and not for families!

1 of 5

This place is really good at marketing and not good at reality! Locals can constantly come in and out of the development. Locals can use the bar, the pool, and listen to the band. You are charged for all drinks at the pool and you cannot bring your own drinks or food to the pool. The beach is not close by. The beach is miles away. This is a pain in the family plans for sure! I would not stay here again and families should not stay here. Just plain awful!

Manager Reply

Wow, this review is misleading and not at all correct. The beach is not miles away (we're on an island that is just barely one mile at the widest point from northern shore to southern shore). The resort is open the renters and seasonally open to those looking to purchase a day pass. You cannot bring alcohol out to the outdoor pool area, because of liquor license restrictions. The resort is not a good choice for people looking to drink all day by the pool, which is why we primarily attract families in search of a fun family vacation. A look at the resort's website will confirm all of this. This condo is a very nice two-story property with bamboo flooring, natural wood cabinets, corian counter tops and an LCD flat screen TV in the living room. The master bedroom has a queen bed, the guest bedroom has two twins and each bedroom has its own private bathroom. The living room has a sleeper sofa for the groups of 5 or 6 people to use and the front deck is conveniently screened-in which is a plus for the summer months. The feedback left online are unfiltered and this grossly inaccurate review is evidence. I am not sure what caused this person to leave this feedback as there is nothing constructive for me to work at remedying. Anyone staying with us should touch base with me if there is something in need of attention as I aim to provide all of our guests with a pleasant vacation experience when staying at any of the three resorts within which we manage vacation rentals. Always a pleasant stay at the Parrot

5 of 5

My wife and son stayed at Beach Mama's at the Purple Parrot during the week of July 4th. The staff was fantastic and very eager to make sure all of our needs were fulfilled. Thank you very much! As for the house, it was very cozy and relaxing. We were in the back part of the complex and the music from the live band was not loud at all. Thank you to the owners of Beach Mama's for having some beach amenities in the house. My son kept himself busy with the beach toys. We stayed in the house the majority of the time we were there. The beach access was a quick drive from the Parrot. Everything was close and convient. I could go on about the great time I had there, but if I do i'm afraid the house will be so booked that we won't be able to get a spot next year! If you are considering staying here then do it!

Thanksgiving on the beach

5 of 5

what an awesome time we had this past Thanksgiving, the house was everything we hoped for, the weather was beautiful, booking the house was a breeze with JD, I really can't say enough, football games and good food and drinks at the Tiki Hut added so much to our trip, everyone at the Purple Parrot seem to really love it there, we can't wait to go back!!

Nice location

5 of 5

We stayed at Beach Mamas and the size of the condo was great for the 6 of us (2 adults, 4 kids) Loved that there was 3 bathrooms. It was so close to both of the pools, which are awesome by the way, and a short drive to the beach.

Love the Pool

4 of 5

We stayed because I have family with a beach house nearby and we wanted a pool for the kids, especially with the potential for oil in the bay and gulf. The big pool is always a delight. Disappointed the Tiki Bar was closed. Our unit had a couple of maintenance issues (water stain on ceiling, broken stair rail) that needed attention and I was concerned that the stair rail didn't merit immediate attention. The place is very nice, but a bit expensive compared to others.

A peaceful, quick getaway off the beaten path.

5 of 5

From the moment we contacted JD at the front desk we knew our families' experience would be a good one. The beach house was beautiful and extremely clean. Everything from the high end cookware to the beach toys to books and movies were a nice surprise. We would definitely stay again and recommend this to our friends.

Graduation stay

5 of 5

We came out with our teenage daughter and adult son for are 22 year old daughters college graduation. Everything was very nice and beautiful. My only complaint is when I ask at the front desk for more toilet paper the second day we were there (knowing we would run out the next day). The young man at the desk just questioned us and didn't offer any more. We had to pick some up at Walmart.

Manager Reply

Thanks for the review. I am glad that you had a good time at the Purple Parrot and congratulations to your daughter! As with all condo rentals, the unit is stocked with one roll of toilet paper and one bar of soap per restroom. Anything beyond the initial start-up supply is the guest's responsibility to pick up. Unlike hotels, when renting a condo the bathroom and paper products are not replenished on a daily basis. The condos are stocked with a roll of toilet paper and bar of soap in each bathroom for your arrival. Additionally, all trashcans have liners. Though we cannot force our guests to read our emails, we do make an effort to ensure that all guests are informed by including a link to our "Things To Bring" web page within the confirmation email you receive after making a reservation. This page lists the items you would need to plan on bringing so that you could be prepared for your stay in one of the vacation homes here in Perdido Key. Some guests choose to bring these items with them and others swing by the local grocery store after checking-in. If we have extra in the office, then we will certainly give it away when requested though we likely did not have any extra at the time (busy weekend for the Memorial Day Holiday). I went and picked up a box of individually wrapped TP on Sunday 5/30, so now we do have a few extras on hand at the moment. The question asked was what condo you were in as the on-site office handles ~60 of ~65 rental units here at the resort, so sometimes guests of unit in which we do not handle ask for items such as toilet paper because the rent-by-owner process did not include a "thing's to bring" link in their confirmation. Thanks again for taking the time to leave your feedback and we hope to see you again in the future. Kindest regards, JD Hallam Rental Manager

A Wish Come True

5 of 5

Our entire family wants to thank the folks at the Purple Parrot for they most gracious and caring treatment of all of us during our stay there...the management team on-staff is the "BEST"...headed up by JD and his staff. While we were there our prayers were answered for our family and we went home + 1.... We will make it a point to tell our family and friends about the PP and how nice they treat you while you are there.

We'll be back

5 of 5

The property is well laid-out, with 2 bedrooms & bathrooms upstairs and kitchen/dining/living area downstairs. Everytime I go to Pensacola I remember how beautiful the beaches and sands are - it's a quick trip to the beach (although too cold for swimming in Feb.). Beach Mama's has a great location at the Purple Parrot - not too far from the pool, not too far from the parking lot for unloading the car, and it has a sandy area and gazebo that was great for the kids to play. We had problems with the broadband but that was being replaced when we left.

Vacation Stay

5 of 5

This is our second trip to the Purple Parrot and we really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well kept. There was plenty of room and the only problem was that there was very little tissue in the bathrooms until we could go to the store. Otherwise, everythink was excellent.

We'll See You Next Year

5 of 5

We returned to the Purple Parrot for a second year and was not disappointed. We love the privacy and homey feel of the units over a hotel or high rise condo. Beach Mama's was a very nice unit and we enjoyed the little extras - beach umbrella, beach/pool toys, books to read, and those little extras that made it more confortable for relaxing. We would have liked some extra storage in the master bath, a key rack to help keep track of pool keys, and a few more cooking untensils (cookie sheet, pizza cutter), but these are minor in the big sceme of things. We will definitely be back next year and will ask for this unit.

Comfy!

5 of 5

This home was so comfortable and clean! From the brand new bath towels and bedding to the high end kitchen pots and pans! The furnishings were professionaly done as well. The property at the Purple Parrot was clean, except the lounge chairs at the outdoor pool needed cleaned. The property managers were very professional and we would stay there again. Our stay for 3 months could not have been any better. This was our first "snow bird" experience and we really got lucky when we found this on line! Thanks to all!

Thanks for the great review! It is always a great day when I read our reviews here online! The pleasure was entirely mine having you here at the resort. Also, I appreciate the input regarding the loungers... I put a call in today to have them all pressure washed. Thanks again and I look forward to the privilege of having you back! Escape to Perdido Paradise

5 of 5

We are regular vistors to Perdido Key, but this was the first time we stayed at a rental house. I was really happy with the experience from reserving to checkout. We also had friends rent the house next to us. This was their first visit to the area. All had a great time. The house was exactly how it was described. The pool area was so enjoyable! You have everything you need in one area. Not to mention Johnson beach a few minutes from the resort. We (both groups) will be returning again this year!! We recommend it to a lot of people.

Great family vacation

5 of 5

We took our 4 year old daughter in September and the beach was empty. (We loved it) We lounged around on the beach all day which was only a short drive away and the condo was very nice. Very well done and clean. We made it home very quickly. The pool was amazing but never actually got in because the beach was so close. We will return!! Quiet and clean and a great price!

Favorite in Perdido Key

5 of 5

The Purple Parrott is always my first pick and favorite place to stay in Perdido Key. While it's not on the beach, the bungalows are all modern, clean, private and roomy. But because it's not directly on the beach, it's always a great price. (And the beach is a just a 3 minute drive.) The pool is awesome and the TIKI Bar is a perfect spot to relax after the kids have gone to bed! Service has always been friendly and prompt whenever I've had an issue. Once we couldn't get the dvd player to play and it was replaced that day with a brand new one! I've stayed 4-5 times and have recommended to many friends.
