Welcome back winter guests to Perdido Key

We are glad to see so many familiar faces here in Perdido Key this winter. The first of the year is always hectic with check-in's and catching up on what has happened over the past year. This January was no different and there were many new aces as well...I am certain those just checking into their Perdido Key rental form the first time will find themselves asking why they did not begin vacationing in Perdido Key sooner. The weather has been fair throughout the first week of January and we are expecting highs in the 60's through the weekend. Sunshine and shorts! Woo hoo! If you are new to the island, be sure to try one of the Friday lunch specials at Triggers. You can't beat the price and the cheese grits are out of this world! Want to stay on the island? Swing by the Purple Parrot Grill for one f the island's best burgers. If you are looking for something a little lighter, the Jellyfish Bar has a great sushi menu or you can stop by Lost Key Java and Deli to have one of their signature chicken salad melt sandwiches. Fr the afternoon, where to go and enjoy the bowl games? The Perdido Key Sports Bar has more than 20 flat screens, a good selection of adult libations and the owner if a good guy. Rather something with more of a tiki bar atmosphere? Check out the Purple Parrot Tiki Bar. The thatch roof, waterfall cave ambiance, live music and 10+ large flat screen tv's are enough to provide the perfect venue for a fun evening... cooler weather, no problem. The Tiki Bar has a clear weatherproof shell which makes keeps it as warm as any other establishment! What's the best part about the Purple Parrot Tiki Bar and Grill? Once you try it and find yourself wanting to stick around, you can! The vacation rent a office is just behind the Bar, so stop in and say hello! Now, back to dinner... You have to at at Sunset Grill and get the sautéed crab claws for an appetizer - hands down, my favorite appetizer on the island! The entrees are pretty good, but it is the sunset view (hence the name) which is priceless. Who would have thought that sunset over the Intracoastal waterway would be so beautiful? Don't feel like going out doing the whole restaurant thing? Order a pizza from Bella Luna or a to go order from Hub Stacy's! Both are hole-in-the-walls with great quick and filling food. Seasoned veterans at vacationing in Perdido Key; a couple thing worth noting... The new Publix grocery store is fantastic. The produce keeps longer than that from local competitors, but I still like using out meat from Winn-Dixie. The Sports Bar is new since last year and Perdido Key Resort Management is opening a new office in the Villagio shopping center. Any questions about the area, please do not hesitate to touch base with me in the office at 850-492-9999. Welcome to Perdido Key and we are glad to have you! Spring rentals are beginning to roll in. The nicest condos are rented first, so now is the time to begin planning that March or April vacation.
