Discover our "Secret Summer", the first two weeks of May, or as we like to call them, our two hidden gems along the Emerald Coast. 

Everyone loves to come to the Gulf Coast during the busy Summer season to catch onto the wave of Summer before it's gone. Why rush? You can enjoy the Summer season, even before it's actually Summer! Skip the crowds and those long waits at the local restaraunts when you stay during one of our "Gem Weeks". The first two weeks of May are ideal for anyone who loves the beach, but isn't really a big fan of the hustle and bustle of the busy Summer season. I've put together just a few reason why you should stay in May.

Weather

The weather during May is absolutely wonderful. With highs in the mid 80's and the lows in the mid 70's, it creates the perfect atmosphere for days spent at the beach and the evenings are cool and comfortable. 

No Crowds on the Beach

Although the beaches here in Perdido Key never get "elbow to elbow" it's still nice in my opinion to have tons of room to spread out. During the first two weeks of May, many kids are still in school and the vacation crowd is not here yet. 

No Long Restaraunt Waits

Perdido Key and the sorrounding areas have some awesome restaraunts and local dives. During the busy season, it's common to find at least a 30 to 45 minute wait to get a table. This goes along with the no beach crowds reason, the vacationers are not in Perdido Key yet so you get to enjoy all Perdido Key has to offer, without the Summer crowd!
