The Scotts stayed in Unit 213 May 10-17, 2025.
The photos of the unit were helpful. The unit was decorated lovely. Beach Vibe is a good name!
More info about the Grand Caribbean East would have been good as we were not aware of the elevator until making one trip up the stairs with our luggage. Because we are on a fixed income we took most of our own food, paper goods, etc. We are used to camping so I took a lot of my own kitchen stuff. We did make use of the blender and they had two coffee makers and I was prepared for both, Keurig and drip. Most everything was fine for a vacation rental and the price was right for us. We love the area!
I read one review of someone staying in this unit prior to our stay and took cues from this post. The sofa was certainly not what I would have in a vacation rental so I took extra king size sheets to put over so we could sit without worrying too much about spillage. Also used a sheet over the bed comforter after it was made each day. No chairs in bedroom meant we had to sit on end of bed to change shoes, etc. We also use fans at home so we brought several, bedroom, bathroom & living area.
When we arrived I immediately put all the provided bath items, towels, soaps, toilet paper away and used my own. I put them back in place right before we checked out. We brought our own bed pillows too. Also clipped an extra large beach towel over the window in bedroom since it is right next to the walkway and curtains were sheer. If you like to sleep in or even take a nap, a darkened room is helpful.
Also upon arrival I put away provided kitchen items - paper towels, soaps, sponges & dish washer tabs. I brought all my own. The stove and refrigerator seemed small & out of date a bit, especially if you have a house full! Of course I will make do with anything provided and it was not an issue for us.
The washer & dryer were welcome but very loud. Used them once at night while watching tv and my husband asked me not to use them again while we were in the unit as they were too loud.
The chairs in the dining room were heavy and loud moving across floor. Some pads would help. I spoke with lady living below and she said you could hear a fly fart so we were more conscientious about the noise we made.
Several good places to eat in the area. The info provided by VRBO was helpful. We also stopped by the visitor center down the road a bit and they have maps of area with restaurants and other points of interest.
Our stay was great and we would definitely stay there again.
