Two Years of Great Stays!
by James
★★★★★ 5 of 5
Had an awesome trip with excellent accommodations again this year. A few things that have been a concern over the past two years have been the general condition of items in the condo which should be updated regularly.
Specifically:
1) The cookware - the TFal cookware with damaged teflon is dangerous and unhealthy to cook in. In fact, we brought our own skillets, stock pots, and sauce pans because of this. With the knowledge that the aluminum and cadmium leaches into our foods and causes major issues in our bodies should be important. Currently, it communicates that we don't care about families, their health, and their ability to cook healthy meals for their loved ones.
2) Carpets and Rugs - These just need to be professionally cleaned or replaced. Grease and oils are inevitable but to arrive and see dark spots and stains on the floor coverings makes the unit feel unclean and thus, unsanitary. And yes, replacing them every few years is part of the cost of ownership.
3) Towel racks - Seems like a logical and necessary addition to any beach condo since wet swim suits, beach towels, and regular towels are part of the beach and pool experience. It is painful to see and experience all of the wet bathing suits, towels strewn across doors, door handles, shower doors, backs of chairs, etc. A few well-placed bars and hooks would help tidy up this major oversight and would be extremely helpful.
4) Garbage - We ended up with more garbage than we had can space for. When asked for some alternatives to this issue, management simply said that maintenance would take care of getting it to the street on Tuesday despite animals getting into the trash each night. And while we were not expecting to clean up the nightly mess, we also were open to helping with an alternative solution since we did not enjoy coming home to the condo only to be addressed by the garbage mess under our stairs. When maintenance finally showed to clean it up, they made unwelcoming comments to our family which was painful given the wonderful week we had at Lost Key.
For the above reasons, I would rate a 3.5 stars for our most recent stay.

Great Stay

Another great stay at this unit. The family enjoyed the pool and beach. The cul-de-sac is great for the kids to ride bikes. I even managed to work in a round of golf. We have already booked a future visit in the fall.

Great space

We really enjoyed our stay at Lost Key! It was the perfect amount of space. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinners in. The shuttle is nice back and forth to the beach. This was our 2nd time staying at Lost Key (different units), and we’ve loved it! The pools are great for the kids and having a place to purchase food and drinks on the beach is great! Great view of the 5th hole on golf course from balcony. We would definitely stay here again.
