Great view and location!

Pros: Great beachfront views. Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Never had to worry about a crowded beach as the complex only has 6 townhouses total. There were also signs on the beach reserving a particular area for Dory guests only. It was great having three floors so that we could spread out. Townhouse had beach chairs, umbrella, and some beach toys. Also had good amount of kitchen supplies. You could tell it had been thoroughly cleaned as well.
Cons: Perdido Key Resort Management made the check in/out process more of a hassle than it should be. Signed the usual rental agreement online (plus took a pic of my license and submitted a selfie which was required to complete the online agreement) in preparation for the trip. Upon arrival, they then require you to come in person to sign another paper with some of the same verbiage you already agreed to online and to pick up your "keys" which are actually just door codes written in Sharpie on key chain tags. If you don't arrive during business hours, they want you to come back again during the week to sign this other paper as they won't leave it in the after hours dropbox with the door codes (they say they want to verify your license again in person). So you may have to visit the business up to 3 times if you do not initially arrive during business hours. Highly recommend this becoming an all electronic process. Also, the bed sizes on the listing are inaccurate. There is only 1 king bed in the townhouse.

The townhome was very clean, beautifully decorated, and had gorgeous views from the balconies. This was a perfect place to stay while visiting my son who is currently at the navy air base. I not only got to visit my son , but meet his work “family” while he is away from home. We played cards, they enjoyed a home cooked meal in the well appointed kitchen, and we got to watch football all weekend. These young men were so grateful for a home like atmosphere to relax for a few nights. Thank you for a wonderful stay in this beautiful home.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Dory. Super clean, had everything we needed, and we loved being right on the beach. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the things you might need. That hasn’t been the case in other places we have stayed. We will be back for sure.

Overall a great place and location. The beach was not very crowded and we had plenty of space without having to fight for a spot close to the water. The place was clean when we arrived and everything was as described on the site. There were a number of beach items under the stairs for our use.

This was our first time staying at The Dory in Perdido Key. It was everything described in the property details. Sometimes pictures don't match the descriptions however this one did the job. Great location, only downside was climbing over the dunes (I knew this would be an issue after reading other reviews...still knowing that I would definitely stay here again). The Dory was the perfect getaway that our family needed. The management company was great! We realized we were going to arrive early and they arranged that perfectly. Great communication! I would definitely recommend them for your rental needs. I left their office and didn’t have a single question. How often can you say that! 5+ Stars

Perdido Key at the DoryF

The location is PERFECT! Right on the beach with beautiful white sand and amazing ocean colors. Private beach was superb. Wonderful family vacation! The only downside is the high rise resorts. LOL
It is walking distance to Lillian's Pizza which is a MUST for anyone who loves fantastic food; Splash Resort Wear with wonderful employees who really treat you right!; and The JellyFish with good food. The Crab Trap is a short drive and the food is outstanding and so is the service!
The only thing that would have made our stay even better was the DoryF accommodations itself. A few upgrades and that place would be Awesome!
Hooks in the screen porch for beach towels as there is no place to hang them anywhere. A black mat by the water would trap the sand so you wouldn't step in it after rinsing off. A broom and dustbin would be so nice! There are no towel racks in the Master Bedroom and only 1 in each of the others. It was a struggle to hang bath towels. It stipulates room for 10, but there were only 6 forks, 4 bowls, a few mismatched glasses and coffee cups. A full set of dishes would be great! A nice set of cookware is needed. The cookware was old, rusted, warped and cooked horribly. A rubber scraper would help. The trash can was a disaster. Never worked properly. In general, the kitchen was very haphazard with no dishwash towels and few towels in general. While it stipulated there was a crib, beach chairs and high chair....every beach chair was busted and the $5/day charge for the high chair seemed nickle and dime cheap given what we paid to rent the place. That was rare to be charged for normal accommodations.
I'm not sure if the owners or the property management makes the decisions....but all those things need to be addressed, OR the price dropped to make it an appealing repeat condo.
We will definitely be back to Perdido Key area next year!

We loved the overall privacy compared to other areas. The townhouse was beautiful and was the perfect size for myself, husband and our 4 kids. We had everything we needed plus more. So accommodating to all our needs. We will definitely be staying at the Dory again! The location was also perfect and near some amazing places to eat and things to do as a family.
